We appreciate the support you all give us! Cheers all!

EARLY ACCESS: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt2 FULL REACTION

Comments

There’s just something about the Oak making up for complaining and heavy breathing through the first 4 movies by wearing full hogwarts attire. I cant lie, some of his commentary early on drove me crazy. But at least he made an effort by the end.

Human bot

Whoa. Mindblown.

Kirstine Aaen

Well, Slytherin House’s quarters are actually in the dungeons so it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. The movies just weren’t very clear on some of the details.

Yen Shively

The montage when they’re running through the courtyard will always be so powerful to me…all the characters they come across is in chronological order with the books! -They run into the troll (book 1) -They’re attacked by spiders (book 2) -Hermione stops the Fenyier Greyback the werewolf from eating Lavender Brown (book 3) -They’re attacked by dementors and saved by the order of the Phoenix (book 5) -The trio escapes and runs off to find Snape, who’s the half blood Prince (book 6).

Kaley

Wow this was so awesome to watch y’all’s reactions especially during Snape’s memories. In the book the chapter is called The Prince’s Tale. It’s one of my favorite plot twists in literature & I loved how all of you lost your shit when Harry called Tom by his first name 😂😂 classic 🙌🏻 would love to see y’all react to all the short clips of all the behind the scenes of making the films. HBO Max has 1-2 videos each movie in the “extras” section that are 10-15 min each & it shows different behind the scenes content than what the reunion video showed. I think y’all would love it & would love to see your reactions & hear your thoughts! :)

Ysa

We have all those available

Badd Medicine

I think they are asking If you guys ever uploaded or have reacted to Fantastic beats, its a sorta a prequel but not really, it has its own story but just in the past, if havent seen it ya should watch the trailers. its another 3 movies

XaXa

Not sure I'm following here?

Badd Medicine

Why did you guys ever upload the Fantastic Beasts series?

Shonna Natae

Here we go ❤️❤️

Sarah

Voldemort was defeated by everyone's love for someone/something.

FatLittleButterfly

Well the prophecy did not say anything about a chosen one. only about powers. Voldemort made his choice and choose Harry, by him choosing Harry he made the prophecy about Harry

Katie

Just to make something clearer, because it wasn't that clear in the movie: when Narcissa (the mother of Draco) asks Harry if her son is alive, Harry slightly nods. So she knows her son is alive, which is the only thing important to her, so she lies to Voldemort. Harry doing the right thing and saving Malfoy's life in the Room of Requirement led to Narcissa lying to Voldemort, and ultimately led to victory, when you think about that ! Also, when everyone cheers when McGonnagall forces the Slytherin students back to their common room in the dungeon, I think people underestimate the impact of that decision. It's so humane - would you imagine these kids having to fight their own parents or their friends, and having to take sides at such a young age? Poor kids! They're not all bullies like Malfoy / Crab / Doyle, Slytherin is not a "bad house". Anyway, I loved your reaction :) :)

KarySky

About the multiplying gold in Bellatrix Lestrange's vault: In the books, they add a curse that makes everything in Bellatrix's vault burn you as well as Gemino the curse which multiplies everything. They do this because when a thief grabs an item, it'll burn them and they'll drop it at which point it will multiply and they won't be able to find the original they had wanted to steal. Everything multiplies under the Gemino curse, but the replicas are worthless.

Hello! Can someone please pass me the link? It’s not loading😢 thank u

Hello all three of you, I've now seen some reactions to the Harry Potter movies and have to say, your reaction to it was by far the best. 👍 Others also grasp the depth of the whole story and how it all unfolds, but still it's often just 3-5 minutes of commentary afterwards and that's it. Others who reacted well to The Lord of the Rings, for example, were one disappointment with Harry Potter. For example, one person didn't know what to do with the name 'Tom Riddle' in Half-Blood Prince, another had nothing better to do than to make a lousy, unfunny and completely inappropriate joke about sex every few minutes in the first movie, even though they're obviously 11 year olds and not even teenagers where you might expect the first hand-holding or something. So I have to say, your reaction is by far the most positive highlight I've seen first on YT and now on Patreon in full length. The fact that the story has completely taken hold of you can certainly be seen in your round table and all the other things that you have done in addition to the films, and such enthusiasm is rarely experienced, especially when you consider where you came from. 😁 Because I felt the same way as you. Like Quinn, from an early age I was a Middle Earth fan (nerd?) and read everything I could get my hands on. There was also a fantasy role-playing game (pen&paper) to go with it - almost unplayable (a hodgepodge of tables), but with dozens of excellent supplements to go with it, which did an excellent job of describing the entire world in more detail. 🤘 Then, when the LotR movies hit theaters, it was a must-see for me. At the same time Harry Potter came into theaters and some acquaintances, especially the girls, wanted to see it, so I just went along (like the other guys) to the first two movies. However, I did so with a similar enthusiasm at the beginning as 'The Oak' ... nice children's movies, well made and quite a decent story with good life wisdom, but not an absolute must-see. 🤨 From 'Prisoner of Azkaban' on I didn't go to the movies anymore, because other things were in the focus, education, work, going out in the evening and simply also other interests, if I watched something. Then 7 - 8 years ago I had 3 weeks off around Christmas time and was thinking about what I could watch, and there was Harry Potter on TV. But I was thinking that the constant commercial breaks on TV are just annoying, and some "unimportant" things are probably cut out because the movies are very long, and that's even more annoying. Besides, I'd rather see the extended version, so I streamed them, knowing that the first two movies are more for kids, the next ones for teens, and the last two or three for (young) adults. And I can only say, like 'The Oak', it captivated me just as much and in retrospect it's a shame not to have seen all the films in the cinema. But someday they will surely be replayed, maybe even completely in a Harry Potter night or something, because we have some cinemas here (Germany, Mannheim and surroundings) that do such events from time to time. To conclude, excellent reaction to the films and I think it's great that you basically felt the same way I did with the late appreciation of the whole story. 😊

Chris Lüders

In the films they diluted Harry & Ginny’s love story immensely, they had to not include so many details because they were only doing 1 film per book(except for last book that got made into 2 films) in this case what they diminished was very important & it’s unfortunate even though the films are still phenomenal, their love story in the books is so beautiful, it shows how it grew gradually, Ginny had a huge crush on Harry from first time he met her family, but she was always so shy, not even speaking around him, she became close friends with Hermione who advised her to stop being hung up on him&start dating other guys, when Ginny did, she was no longer so self conscious or awkward around him, and he started noticing how he was feeling jealous when seeing her date Michael and then Dean, she was also so protective&supportive of him, he started seeing her differently, looking at her &thinking about her more& realizing how attractive she is, and after some time he couldn’t even bear the idea of her being with someone else, & there were more interactions between Harry &Ginny of course, this is just an idea, the books are a must read otherwise u miss out on A LOT! if u want to learn the details &u can’t read the books now, there’s a video here https://youtu.be/yc6r29BW-mQ, explains the time line and relationship of Harry&Ginny, this channel also has amazing HP content, vids explaining differences between films vs books for each, I’m not related to them in anyway, btw, I just enjoy their vids very much so wanted to share them, their name is “Movieflame”.

Ola Aljaryan

I wish the series would have shown Neville’s parents in the mental hospital, giving us a better understanding of how Bellatrix using the torture curse on them caused them to lose their minds and need permanent hospitalization. They also never explained that Neville’s memory problems were a result of magic being used on him to make him forget seeing them be tortured. But at least they showed him becoming a hero.

Ginger

And the reason why he went after Harry and not Neville is because Neville was pure blood. Harry was half-blood just like Voldemort.

Hira Memon

Thank you, Jack! We appreciate the kind words. Glad you enjoyed. 😁🤙

Badd Medicine

I know this was back in May but I just have to say in case you see this that I believe this was the best reaction series I've ever seen. From any creator. I've watched quite a bit, I'm on a few other patreon creators and you've got some competition... but watching Oak go from hesitant to excited to watch these was really really fun. I was a bit older when these arrived so I wasn't into the craze and I wasn't their age but I enjoyed the books immensely regardless. Well done, gents. This is a reaction series I'm going to come back to again at some point. Just like I did the movies.

Jack Burton

Just a fun fact Harry and Ginny also named their other son James Sirius and their daughter Lily Luna.. I loved that they named their daughter middle name after Luna

michele bernardo

I do think Oak looked into audible

Badd Medicine

I have so much to say, this series has been amazing gents, so glad you watched. I will say, the books are INCREDIBLY well written. I can't count how many times an adult has come back to me after finally geteting them to read them and were blown away by the quality. The audio books narrated by Stephen Fry are equally great. Cheers!

Chon

Let's us know if you need anything🤘😁

Badd Medicine

Thanks for the quick response, no worries on the refund. I didn't read the tier info. I enjoy your content, looking forward to new videos. Take care.

J B

JB, legally, we do not own this property, so technically, we can't distribute it due to copyright laws. We can, however, share up to 10 mins due to fair use. We do state in the tier information that this is a watch along format. Almost every Patreon reactor will have this format for the same reasons. Those who don't, run a very high risk of getting in trouble. Sorry that this didn't meet your expectations, we can refund you.

Badd Medicine

I don't understand. Why's the movie blurry and the sound very mute after the first few minutes? Fellas I joined your patreon to watch this reaction. If you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

The prophecy stated that the chosen one would be born and the end of July. Harry Potter was born on the 31st, Neville Longbottom was born on the 30th. Many think that although Harry Potter was Voldemort equal, that it was always Neville Longbottom who was the chosen one.

TheGeekymuffin73

I've got a feeling people would love a reaction vid from you all to the few very critical deleted scenes. Some with Petunia & Dudley & Harry, as well as a small snippet that mildly redeems Draco in a critical moment.

Jack's World

Very much appreciated 🤙 thank you!

Badd Medicine

I think the Oak had a few channels he wanted to watch when everything was complete. I think that was one? 🤔

Badd Medicine

Watched lots of HP reactions, but this is the one I've been looking for. 3 guys totally getting emersed in the wizarding world and giving their thoughts on the story rather than just quick wrap ups and moving on. Been a pleasure to rewatch with you, closest I can get to the feeling of watching it for the 1st time!

Nambao Mutemwa

you guys should subscribe or watch MovieFlame on YouTube he is all Harry Potter all day and he does videos a lot of Harry Potter video on movies and books

michele bernardo

Oh ok, yeah I just joined and part 1 was the first I watched, so I just assumed it was like that on all of them

Chuck

Thank you, Erna. 😁🤙

Badd Medicine

I love how you guys are sooo invested and involved. Your reactions made my day. And after watching all of it you guys now know that Snape is good all along. Rewatching all of the movies again will be a different experience once you know this truth. Like when McGonagal attacked Snape, you saw that Snape hesitated and fled because he didnt want to really hurt her.

Erna Gustiawati

I was wondering because I've never seen that for other potter/other movie reactions on here

Christina Palas

That's on purpose, since they are not allowed to distribute it I think. But on here, it is the reaction to the entire movie! So you can just put the movie on on the side, sync it up, and watch it with them!

Chuck

Christina Palas

Should've had it in.

Badd Medicine

there was a draco redemption scene but it was cut... why I dont know.. it would have been perfect.

Lyonheart86(BryonH)

Those are a work in progress. We will be trying to keep up the pace if possible for future releases.

Badd Medicine

Oh, how I wish yall could drop YT cut on the same day of the uncut reactions 😭

Badd Medicine

Let's explain... The story of the three brothers and the deathly hallows has been linked to the characters and why they died. The first brother died for power - this is Voldemort, the second brother died for love - this is snape and his love for lily and the last brother greeted death like an old friend - this is harry as he greeted Dumbledore as an old friend when he "died". Also, some people argue that Dumbledore is the master of death as he has owned the three deathly hallows at the same time. Other people have argued that Harry is the master of death as he has had all the three hallows at once as well. Snape's memory... Snape has loved Lily since he was really young. However, she ended up marrying snape's school bully - James Potter. This is why Snape had a love/ hate relationship with Harry as Harry is half the woman he loves and half the man he hates. Despite this hate for James, Snape still protects Harry throughout his life because of Lily. Everyone has a different animal that represents their patronus charm. Snape's patronus is the same as lily's - a female deer. You can have the same animal as someone else when you have a deep love for that person. The deer that Harry saw in the forest was Snape's as he was trying to show Harry where he had hidden the sword without being obvious to voldemort that he was helping Harry. When Snape showed Dumbledore his patronus when they were talking in the memory, Dumbledore saw it was a doe deer and instantly realised Snape still loved Lily. This is why Dumbledore said "after all this time?" and snape replied with "always" as he has always loved lily, even 17 years after her death. Neville Longbottom... The chosen one could have been either Harry or Neville as the prophecy referred to a boy born at the end of july that could defeat voldemort. Both harry and neville were born at the end of july.

Bex Longmuir

By far one of the best reactions to the Harry Potter franchise that I have seen. You guys have great energy to awesome movies, and it really shows. I knew The Oak would be swayed after the first two, I love the first two movies, but they are a bit more in the kids' eyes for sure. You've probably already been aware, but the books are 10x better to read than the movies that are already a 10/10 for me to watch. Jim Dale is my favorite narrator for the audiobooks since his voices he does of the characters are like a movie themselves, so engaging! Also be aware, watching all of the fan theories before reading the books themselves will feel a bit less amazing than having read them fully first, mostly since the movies capture 1/10 of the books lol. up to you. I can't wait for Fantastic Beasts! Keep up the positivity!

Greg Z

and also the fan made movie Sisters of House Black; its about Bellatrix on how she became the way she is, Narcissa (Draco's mother, and Andromeda (she wasnt mentioned in the movies. This fan movie shows the result of their upbringing.

xflipjamsx

Oh those will happen 🙂👍

Badd Medicine

I saw a negative comment about the Fantastic Beast movies, I actually love them. Don't be discouraged to watch them please. They are different and as a fan who watched the movies from a young age and also read the books, these movies are amazing to me and I am so glad for them.

Katherine Rodriguez

The train began to move, and Harry walked alongside it, watching his son's thin face, already ablaze with excitement. Harry kept smiling and waving, even though it was a little bereavement, watching his son glide away from him... The last trace of steam evaporated in the autumn air. The train rounded a corner. Harry's hand was still raised in farewell. "He'll be alright," murmured Ginny. As Harry looked at her, he lowered his hand absent-mindedly and touched the lightning scar on his forehead. "I know he will." The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well. | The ending of Deathly Hallows is beautifully written. Makes me tear up, every time I read it. I cannot remember a more satisfying conclusion to a novel series, with the last words simply being, "All was well." Sheer perfection!!

Cmann1887

Also why did Harry survived despite being killed by Voldemort in the Forest? Voldemort in his greed and haste to become invulnerable to Harry and the magical protection in his blood (given by his mother ultimate sacrifice of love), forcibly took Harry's blood (with his mother's protection) after which he could touch him without being harmed. But what Voldemort did not realize was by doing so, when he tried to kill Harry with the killing curse in the Forest, was because Voldemort STILL carried Harry's blood with his mother's protection in his living body THIS tethered Harry to life while he ended up killing only the horcrux in Harry that contained bit of his split soul while ironically tethering Harry to life with Harry's blood & its magical protection in his body Lol (book explains many things better). Neat isn't it?

CG

Epic finale reaction! In an alternate universe, Neville could've been the chosen one instead of Harry. Both Harry and Neville checked all the criteria that qualified either of them for the being the "Chosen One". Neither Harry nor Neville possessed extraordinary abilities (unlike Dumbledore and Voldermort), that's not what made them special. What made both Harry and Neville special were the strength of their character, their heart, and exceptional courage ("It is not our abilities that show what we truly are... it is our choices."~Dumbledore). Both Harry and Neville had the inner qualities of character to qualify for the Chosen One. And both of them were born at the end of July like the Prophecy said. So why Harry and not Neville? Because Voldermort "marked him as his equal" when he decided to go after the Potters not the Longbottoms. It could've easily have been Neville, but as fate would have it Voldermort interpreted it to be the Harry thus unwittingly fulfilling the outcome foretold by the prophecy (made by Trelawney).

CG

Just went through all of your Harry Potter reactions. Probably my favorite reactions to Harry Potter, and you guys actually gave me a new appreciation for the movies through your commentary

No Consequence

And he has to fill all the audio with his voice alone. The other guys just sit and watch him squirm 🤣🤣

LoneCourier21

If you noticed when Snape and McGonagall fought, Snape never attacked, he reflected her attacks to the Carrows behind him to knock them out. That's when he left, knowing if he left the students would be safe cause the Carrows are out cold. Also, if it makes you feel a bit better about Snape's death, he had Harry look at him so he could look at Harry's eyes, since he has his mothers eyes, he got to see a bit of Lily before he died. Draco's mother asked Harry if Draco was alive because all she cares about is her son. She wants him alive. Even if it means lying to Voldemort. She knew Harry would know about Draco. In the book, Harry uses the elder wand to repair his, and then puts it back with Dumbledore in his grave. So the movie version people hate, and I do love the idea of the wand going back to Dumbledore, but i like the idea of it being broken so people can't be tempted to go after its power. Also, in the books Neville and Luna don't end up together. Luna ends up with the son of someone from Fantastic Beasts. Not sure why the movie wanted to go that route of Neville liking Luna. EDIT: The Oak, I will not lie, I am the same way with reading. I have a huge issue with comprehension. So listening to the audio books has been a HUGE help for these books.

AAAND DONE. thank you guys so much for doing this series, it gives me a reason to rewatch them and not get tired of them, i catch new things, think about them in new light. Bittersweet is right, but the audio books are good, i read them and they really shed alot more light on a lot of characters and events that were cut as im sure you can imagine. god that ending scene makes me tear up every time tbh, also final note i believe the only reason draco went over to voldemorts side was because him mom was there, if he wasnt scared of him mom getting hurt i believe that would have been the stand and fight moment for him. Cant wait for the hobbit :)

Kega

Thank you for powering through and reading it! I know it was a little extra but I just want you really understand the nuance of the story ☺️. I think JK Rowling is really such a terrific story teller and I think even more than the plot, the characters that she created were masterful. It’s sad that the richness of most of the characters can’t translate to the movies, but at least you got a taste!

this might be an odd request but i would LOVE for you guys to react to the "a very potter musical" series on youtube...they are a 3 part comedy series created by team starkid that are harry potter live parody musicals done in front of a live audience and they are absolutely hilarious i think you guys would love them and i would really enjoy seeing your reactions to them!

jjsons

If any of you do end up listening to the audiobooks or reading them through, please consider giving us your review of how you like them in comparison!!

Definitely its amazing! We got to go to the wand shop recreated like in the movies lol and have a wand choose us.. or we could choose our own. I chose Serious Black's wand and my son picked Dumbledore's wand, the great part is that they are interactive with the park so in certain spots you can wave the wand and itll do like a "spell" I've been following yall on youtube for some time, LOTR was another great series i got to see yalls reaction and its movies i was forced to watch by my brothers when i was younger but now they are some of my favorites. I did not realize you guys were reacting to Harry Potter until maybe the week that you put the YT reaction to Prisoner of Azkaban.... I binged those three episodes and realized immediately it was time to come to patron, get my HP movies out and just watch along specially since at that time Half blood prince was already on Patron, lol best 6.00 ive spent in a while lol So much fun getting yalls genuine reactions to these movies. I came for HP but im staying for anything yall do next :)

So Neville is way more important in the book, the prophecy that made voldemort try to kill harry as a baby, could've lead voldemort to either harry or neville, Voldemort chose harry but easily could've chosen Neville My favorite fan theory not sure if its ever been confirmed is that neville had a lot of issues when he was younger was because he was using his dad's old wand, but his dad's wand never chose him so he always had issues but after I think the Order of the Phoenix he gets a new wand that chooses him and after that he isnt so inept at magic

I think there were a few things that the movie, though trying their best, just couldn’t explain as well as the books. I could write you a whole book about what they left out but I won’t 🙂 (well, I’ll try not to). I did go a little over the top here so sorry! I get excited! Snape - the tears were confusing. It’s presented differently in the book, made a little more obvious that they were taking his memories. Also if you remember in the 5th movie there are a few scenes where he tries to reach Harry how to close his mind to Voldemort. It’s explained in the book that Snape is especially skilled with that particular kind of magic and it’s what made him such a successful spy against Voldemort, who could usually tell when people were lying to him. Snape was more skilled than most at closing his mind off. Patronuses (If that’s the plural) - I don’t know if they clearly explained that the patronus doesn’t only repel dementors. It can also be used as a kind of messenger. They have a few examples in the book and though they kind of show it in the movie they don’t really explain. Snape’s patronus took the shape of a doe, representing Harry’s mom - I might be wrong but I think it changed shape after her death (meaning it wasn’t a doe before that). So it wasn’t Harry’s mom who brought them the sword of gryffindor in the forest, snape sent it to them and then he sent his patronus as a kind of messenger/ guide to show them where it was. The hallows - there’s more detail on these in the book. I think Voldemort only ever wanted the wand because of its power. He also mistakenly assumed (like most people) that you have to kill the previous owner to take command of the elder wand, when that was never true. It transferred allegiance to Malfoy when he disarmed dumbledore, and then to Harry when Harry disarmed Malfoy. Dumbledore in his younger days was a different person and more power hungry - he wanted all 3 hallows (wand, stone, cloak) to be the master of death, but eventually gave that up after the events that killed his sister (more detailed in the books). He decided that he couldn’t be trusted with power and that’s why he never agreed to become minister of magic. At one point in the book Harry becomes very distracted by the hallows and wants to find them instead of looking for the horcruxes, but he eventually gets back on track realizing what’s more important. Ultimately he makes the wise decision to get rid of the elder wand because of the violence that follows it and he leaves the stone in the forest so no one else can find it, and he only keeps the invisibility cloak (passed down in his family). Also the stone wasn’t in the snitch the whole time - Dumbledore hid it there as a way to pass it on to Harry in his will without alerting the ministry. Harry as a horcrux - I don’t know if they clearly explain the concept in the movies. Admittedly it’s confusing. They also don’t really take you on the journey that the 6th book takes you on where you learn A LOT about Voldemort’s past and therefore which objects he gravitated to for the horcruxes. The idea is that if you split your soul (by killing someone) and then perform a complex spell to conceal a piece of it that object becomes a horcrux and prevents the person from dying. So when Voldemort’s killing spell on Harry rebounded it should have killed him (Voldemort), but because he had split his soul he was able to continue existing in some form. But Voldemort decided to go further down that path than anyone before him which is why he wanted to split his soul into 7 (6 horcruxes + the piece in his body) —> but he created a 7th horcrux (Harry) by accident. That’s why it wasn’t a matter of Harry just overcoming darkness within him, it was a piece of Voldemort’s soul living in his body and that had to be destroyed. Voldemort could only truly be killed when all of his horcruxes were destroyed, otherwise the same thing would have happened and he would have been reduced to that barely there existence removed from his body, like what happened when he tried to kill Harry as a baby. The prophecy - they explain the books that there are many prophecies made that never come true, it’s not a guarantee. The only reason Voldemort ever knew about the prophecy made about him and Harry was because snape was spying on Dumbledore for him and overheard when Trelawny made the original prophecy to Dumbledore. Snape told Voldemort about the prophecy not realizing that he would go after Harry and by extension Lily. It’s also noted that snape thought Voldemort would spare Lily as a favor to him, which of course was never going to happen. Last thing! It’s also alluded to in the book that Dumbledore did suspect all along that there was complicated magic at play that would kill the piece of Voldemort’s soul in Harry but still allow Harry to live, but he didn’t want to give Harry false hope and he wasn’t sure.

I loved all the HP reactions! Will keep supporting! I can't wait for more Wizarding World reactions!

Katherine Rodriguez

I haven't heard the best things, so I've already lowered my expectations :).

yrag

it escalated quickly and now the whole family is having an argument about it. We had to turn it of.

Sandra

watching The secrets of Dumbledore now and it pains me to say it but it's bad, like really really bad. On par with how bad The crimes of Grindelwald was. I'm amazed at how shit it is.

Sandra

Guys, this might be a bit wierd, but may I recommend the books to you? As you know they grow darker, and the vast amounts of info and lore that was left out of the movies would be EPIC for you to read! Like as a hint: Luna's father is the editor in chief of the Quibbler, and they give Harry a very unique opportunity that is SO. SATISFYING!! Maybe you don't have time, but there are audio books, and I would LOVE for you to read them and just talk about all the new information you find in the books!

Raquel Bargas

There’s a lot of behind the scenes which would be fun to watch!!! At least an hours worth!!

In a deleted scene after Harry drops from Hagrids arms, Draco threw Harry his wand!! INCREDIBLE redemption. You guys should do a video on ALL the deleted scenes :)

Morgan Blaney

When Harry was in ‘Kings Cross’ the ugly looking thing that was under the bench was the part of Voldemort that lived in Harry, the Horcrux. It didn’t come back with him

Yall have to do the deleted scenes😭😭😭

Wait not a lot of people said this is their favorite?? That’s interesting. In my experiance people’s favorite is this one and the prisioner of azkaban. And then probably order of the phoenix. Also yes, Neville is definitely a big surprise and an important part of this movie but for me, Snape’s memories is definitely my favorite scene, not only in this movie, but in the entire series.

idk if anyone mentioned it, but it's mentioned that there were 2 people who fit the prophecy. the other was harry, as you know. And the other was Neville. SO if harry didn't exist or if he had actually died, Neville would have been the chosen one to defeat Voldemort.

I don’t know if it was mentioned but Snape convinced Voldemort not to kill Lily. Voldemort didn’t intend to kill Lily but he wasn’t going to allow her to stop him from killing Harry. Basically out of respect for Snape he wasn’t going to outright kill her but he knew she wouldn’t go down without a fight so he’d kill her anyway, if that makes sense. That’s why only her love saved Harry because she wasn’t technically meant to die.

It would be amazing with a short review or comparison to the movies after the books. I can recommend the version of the audiobooks with Stephen Fry.

Louise Green

thank you guys for sharing your journey through the world of Harry Potter with us. It was great to watch the 8 movies with you 💙

Lorenzo Furnari

Just a little sidenote: the prophecy that said Harry was the chosen one, never said a name, but a description of the boy who will kill Voldemort. This description did fit for two boys Harry and Neville. Since Harry was a Half-Blood like himself, Voldemort thought he would also be the one in the prophacy and by trying to kill him he marked him as an equal, which was also a point in the prophecy. At the end the prophecy was kinda true for both Harry and Neville. With Harry searching for the Horcruxes and Neville leading the resistance in Hogwarts and destroying the last Horcrux, both of them had a siginficant part in Voldemorts downfall.

Rafael

Another great reaction to my favorite series.

Kon

I'm so glad I stumbled on your guys on youtube! You've renewed my love of the series watching all your enthusiasm. Please don't apologize for taking the time to share your thoughts at the end. It's been so cool to see the evolution of your opinions as the series progressed to heavier topics. You all picked up on so much from the heart of the story with just one viewing. It's truly been such a treat to get such genuine and thoughtful responses from first-timers. Thank you so much for watching HP! I'm so glad I decided to join you on Patreon to see the full reactions. I've looked forward to each one :) And I'm interested in hearing which Hogwarts houses you each get sorted into. There's also another quiz on there to find out your patronus animal which would be fun too. I'm hoping you get to Hunger Games at some point because I'd love to hear your analysis of that series. It starts much darker than HP ever did and I think you'd enjoy the complexity. I'm absolutely going to stick around for more Potter!

Congrats Oak, you finally gave a Harry Potter movie a 5/5 score. My favorite scenes from the movie: the revelation that Snape is a good guy and Neville cutting Nagini's head.

I am ready willing and able to comment before I even begin the reaction to the movie lmao I am so sad it's over but y'all have been amazing reactors and as ALWAYS boys let's goooooo

BriaDawn

Congrats on finishing the series! I mentioned once how the 7th book is the only one where I cried reading. Of course, it had to do with someone's death. I believe I got the book the day it was available for sale. I began reading it Saturday and finished it Sunday morning. I did not sleep. I cried so hard at the part when you realize Remus was dead. You see, the movies tend to severely shorten character screen time. Which I understand. It's a lot to put into a 2 hour movie. But if you read the books you'd realize how tragic of a character Remus was. By this part of the story Remus had just become a father and for the first time he was so happy about it, and then he died. I had to stop reading to stop the tears before continuing. All the other deaths was just as shocking. The end of the book really felt hollow because it was a happy ending, but so many people were gone. I am about to write more about some tidbits from the book, not shown or explained in the movie. Do not read on if you plan to read the books and do not wish to spoiled of some intriguing info. People have already talked about Neville. So you won't hear it from me. There are multiple reasons why Harry didn't die. Yes, as someone mentioned before, Harry was still protected by his mother's love. While Harry's blood flowed through Voldemort, he couldn't kill Harry. He also couldn't kill Harry because he was the true master of the elder wand. Like Harry said in the movie, Draco was and when Harry wrestled him for his wand and won, the elder wand changed his allegiance to him. Therefore, the elder wand could not kill its own master. Plus, because Harry possessed the resurrection stone, invisibility cloak, and was the master of the elder wand, he was truly a master of death. You guys were right in guessing that Harry had the invisibility cloak from the story of the deathly hollows, but the movie made it too easy to guess. In the book, it's mentioned that there are many invisibility cloaks. The one from the legend was unique in that it truly makes one appear invisible and was immune to most magic. A trait that only Harry's cloak had. It once belonged to his father, meaning that cloak was must have been past down generations and the Potters may have a relation to one of the brothers from the story. The marauders map was severely under utilized. In book/movie 3 Harry was introduced to the map and it was then found out that the creator of the map was James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter (only in the book, not in the movie). I'm sure many people mentioned before... James = Prongs Sirius = Padfoot Peter = Wormtail Remus = Moony Well, the cover of the marauders map read Missuers Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs...in that order. Reverse the order and you get the order in which each person died. First James, next Sirius, then Peter, and last Remus. Neville became a professor at Hogwarts. Don't remember what he taught. Harry and Ginny have three children. The one he spoke with at the end of the movie is his 2nd son. His first son's name is James and his daughter's name is Lily. I have nothing else to say because there are so much more to the books. Again I really enjoyed your reaction and you made me relive a joy in revisiting this franchise. Thanks!

Cilla W

Excellent reaction video! You will find out more about Ariana Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts movies, but just know that she was his younger sister who was harassed by muggles who later were killed by her father, that she had an outburst of her magic that killed her mother, and she herself was killed when there was a three-way duel between Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth Dumbledore, and Gellert Grindlewald. No one knows whose curse killed her. She was an obscurial. You'll find out about them later. Harry was the godfather of Remus Lupin's son, Teddy. Harry's son Al (Albus Severus) becomes a Slytherin. And that's okay. Sorry, but Neville and Luna don't work out. Luna marries a Scemander, and Neville becomes the Herbology professor at Hogwarts. Finally, this one is worth a reaction video. There is a fan-made movie called Severus Snape and the Marauders. 99% of fan-films are crap but this one is tremendous. It's about the last days of school for James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and Severus Snape. Only 25 minutes long, but insanely good. Please watch this! https://youtu.be/EmsntGGjxiw Cheers!

Tom Ekstrand

Ooof, The Hobbit is something, it's fun, but it shouldn't have been 3 movies, just a heads up.

patricia jimjimcherie

AAAAAH this is so bittersweet. I cried watching this, as I always do, but it's just the final line int he book is "The scar had not pained Harry for 19 years. All was well." and it just means a lot, I don't know. Albus Dumbledore is an incredibly complex character, he is flawed, and manipulative, and god, sometimes he is awful, and I love him for it. I love how layered his character is, how as good as he is he is mostly actually bathed in shades of grey (you will see more of these in Fantastic Beasts, that while they aren't great narratively, I just love seeing Dumbledore, and Jude Law plays him well). When Aberforth speaks of Albus with so much bitterness, I love that scene, I love how much scorn and resentment Aberforth has there for Albus, because it's valid for Aberforth, I genuinely love how awful and flawed Albus is. Severus is horrible, god he is awful, in the books he is so much worse, but he is not evil, in the end, that's the thing about these characters, evil is rare, it's the few who are actually evil, most have good in them, most are multi-faceted. Neville is the bravest one of them all, that's his growth, he became the bravest of them all, as the prophecy could've been about him as well, if it hadn't been about Harry, it would have been him, Neville is amazing. Narcissa takes Harry's pulse, realizes he's alive and asks him "is Draco alive? is my boy alive?", because she knew Draco was gonna confront Harry, and she knew, that even after all, Harry did not kill him, and Narcissa paid gratitude by declaring him dead. Harry's conversation with Albus Dumbledore in King's Cross is one of my favorite parts, what Dumbledore says always hits me hard, just as hard as when Harry sees his parents and Sirius and Remus, it just breaks me. Fred's death also does that, what a terrible thing for George, to always have been one of two, a pair, and suddenly become a one. I want to say so many things but it's almost 1am, and I work at 8am, and I'm all scatteredbrained. I'm really excited to see what y'all upload next, and I hope you watch Fantastic Beasts soon, I'm really glad you watched Harry Potter. I always knew you'd like it. I'm a Slytherin, and proud, it has always been my favorite house and the books really did them dirty (Merlin was a Slytherin!) If I'm allowed to guess, I don't know why, but it feels like Oak could be a Hufflepuff, he gives that sort of vibe. but I'm excited for the roundtable, the quizzes, and whatever comes next (including The Hobbit, I was always more attached to that book than LOTR somehow). This has been a fantastic journey and I'm so happy I was able to be a part of it, specially when life has been a little rough for me lately. You truly made my weeks better with this uploads. Thank you guys!

patricia jimjimcherie

About seeing this at the movies. Yes, it was truly amazing and a lot of us went to the first midnight showing. Part one was released in Thanksgiving/Christmas time frame and Part Two was released the following July. Virtually everyone who went into these last two movies had already read the full book but that didn't take away from the excitement at all. It was magical to watch while surrounded with a theater full of other Potter fans.

Jain Thorne

Ah...the sound of hundreds of people losing sleep with you.

Jain Thorne

What a bonus to find this dropped early. Yes, I discovered it at 10:30pm and HELL YES, I"m staying up late to watch it. It was so satisfying and wonderful to watch you see this whole series for the first time. It was almost like being able to to see it again for the first time myself. I"m sure you will have lots of comments so I will add only two. I like how a mother's love plays out over and over in this series. Lily saves Harry. Molly's love for her children elevates her powers to kill Bellatrix. Draco's mother's love causes her to lie to Voldemort when she learns her son is still alive in the castle. Hell, even Petunia who obsessively loves Dudley acts as a (poor) surrogate mother for Harry in that she is told in the books that her allowing Harry to return each summer to a blood relative's home is what helps renew Lily's protection of her son. The second thing that I would mention is that the Fantastic Beasts is well worth watching but don't go into it expecting anything close to the emotional attachment you've had with this movie. It's a prequel set in the 1930's in America at first and has a quite different feel. Still worth watching but don't set expectations high at all and you will enjoy it more. Again, thank you for taking us on this journey with you. It's been wonderful.

Jain Thorne

Hm 🤔 go to bed or watch right now? That’s a tougher question than you might think considering I stumbled onto this surprise at midnight! Really looking forward - and I can’t wait for the round table wrap up. I really hope you do decide to try the audiobooks, I don’t think you would regret it!

TE

Yay! This book/movie is one of my favorites :) It also just gave us one of the greyest characters ever. Snape is often whitewashed and turned into an unfettered hero by a lot of people, but he wasn’t a good person either (this definitely came more across in the books I feel). He loved Lily, and when she turned him down, he did become a Nazi whose order was hunting people like her down. He was cool with the prophecy and everything too until he realized Lily would die. Only when it affected him, did he realize the problems. His love was selfish because he was okay with her son and husband dying as long as he could have her. He terrorized his students, to the point Nevilles greatest fear was Snape himself and cruel. But he was also incredibly brave and put down his life for the greater cause and Lily’s memory. He’s such a uniquely grey character.

Selena

I've loved every reaction, including the first couple movies. I knew where it could go and im so happy yall were able to enjoy and even make a 180 in their original thought. Its happen to me all the time with movies. Harry potter is always a comfort movie. ill watch when im sick or just during a rainy day. its so good every time! We visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando in January and it was amazing! if you guys are ever near yall have to go. I have a Wand in front of me on display, such a nerdy thing but brings me joy everyday. lol

Lucero webb

I remember seeing this in theaters at midnight lol (I actually have the ticket still). There were no reserved seating so we had to show up at around 10pm to get in line and get good seats. Seeing it in theaters was surreal. Having read the books, I would randomly just start tearing up during the movie because you could feel the end coming. And I was bawling during Snape's memories. I love this movie (some changes I didn't like- like Harry breaking the Elder Wand instead of using it to fix his wand that broke in pt1 and Voldemort's blowing ashes death), but it's not an HP movie that you can just put on to casually watch, this is one you save for your rewatch because you have to earn the payoff lol. It's probably been said, but the Resurrection stone wouldn't have saved Harry, it has the ability to bring back loved ones from the grave which is why his parents, Remus, and Sirius showed up. Another thing that's missed is that Voldemort wanted to split his soul into 7-meaning 6 horcruxes and himself, Harry wasn't meant to be a horcrux (so he actually split his soul into 8). When Voldemort 'killed' Harry, he actually killed that part of his soul and destroyed his own Horcrux he didn't know existed. Most anticipated scene for me was Snape's memories and while they did cut out some from the books- it was absolutely amazing to see. Thank you guys for watching and enjoying the movies! It's been so fun to watch :)

LV

Lots of things in here don't happen in the books. That was a good add in I thought.

important nobody

Thank you so much. I have enjoyed watching the serie again with you and enjoyed your reaction tremendously. I have not read all the comments so if I repeat something that have already been said, then my apology. I'd just like to state that Harry willingly walking to his dead by the hand of Voldemort worked the same way as his mother's sacrifice. By doing that, he gave protection to all who fought Voldemort. Voldemort could harm them but could not kill them.

Rini

WAIT WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR THIS TOMORROW DAMN now I have to turn on my laptop when I was supposed to go to sleep

patricia jimjimcherie

Also please please watch the deleted scenes from the last two on the round table if you can. And Tom Felton (Draco) has a documentary you could check out. It's called super fan I believe. It's about the super fans of HP and really good.

important nobody

Oh man. The battle scene in the books...there are no words. From the time harry gets to hogwarts till voldermort dying its loaded. I never appreciated how confusing it must be to someone who hadn't read the books. But can't wait for the reunion and the round table discussion.

important nobody

Thank you guys so much for doing this! I don’t even know how I came across y’all’s channel but it was a blessing! I loved watching with you and hearing your honest thoughts about everything. There are so many details and further explanations from the books that I wish I could sit and talk with y’all about haha. If you do watch any book to movie comparisons or explanation videos I would 100% be interested in watching y’all react to them!

Heather

Wow, what a great ride this has been! I hope you guys do check out the audiobooks. They’re similar to the movies in that the first few are geared toward a young audience, but still packed with details that will come into play later in the series. Once you get into the 3rd and 4th books, I guarantee you’ll be hooked. The movies do a great job bringing some of the big scenes to life but really they only scratch the surface of these stories. This has been hands down my favorite reaction series. It’s been so much fun watching along with you guys each week, and now that we’ve reached the end I’m feeling the 5 Stages of Harry Potter Grief all over again.😩 I can’t wait for the round table!!

Jackie O'Donnell

I like that the theme of choices came back in this one too. Harry chooses to sacrifice himself, which is the hard choice. Then in the limbo state he's in he chooses to live again, which at that point is the hard choice. I'm looking forward to your Hobbit reaction. I've seen Lord of the Rings but not the Hobbit so I'll be watching that for the first time too!

yrag

A day early?! Wow, thanks! Awesome surprise. This has been really fun jumping back into these movies with you guys. There are already a lot of comments about Narcissa Malfoy saying Harry was dead. She's not in the movies much so I can definitely see how you might not have caught it completely. She only cared about her son, so she lied to Voldemort. She knew Harry was alive. You can tell the books were written by a mother with all the mothers coming through in the clutch. I think Harry dropped the resurrection stone because he was letting go. Death and mourning play a big part in the series and Harry dropping it was him using the stone in the right way. The part in the movie with Dumbledore's brother was a little rushed. I was surprised they included it. His backstory is a through-line in the book and adds some conflict with Dumbledore's character, but I think they just didn't have enough time in the movie to fully flesh it out.

yrag

Draco's mom asked Harry if Draco was alive. Harry nodded yes, and that's when she said that Harry was dead.

Anika

This is for Oak. If you're considering listening to the audiobooks, consider getting the BBC's radio dramatization of The Lord of the Rings as well. It's not a straight reading of the books (which let's be honest, I love them but for people who don't enjoy reading much, even an audiobook of those will probably put you to sleep). However BBC's radio dramatization is a much more accurate and more thorough adaptation than the movies. Has a fantastic cast as well. Bill Nighy (who you may have seen in things like pirates of the Caribbean and the Underworld franchise) plays Sam. And Ian Holm (who played Bilbo in the movies) plays Frodo in this. They're available on Audible.

Aaron

My thoughts were pretty good, too. *sad face*

PaulaC

If you ever have some free time or just dont want Harry Potter to be over, try the audiobooks/books. Would love to hear your opinions on them!

Jonas (Methanoutput)

I just spent 10 minutes reading through all these comments to make sure my comment wouldn't be repetitive, and then 10 more minutes crafting a coherent and non-spoilery comment to answer some of your questions. And it didn't post.

PaulaC

I am probably going to watch this full reaction 2 more times haha

Graham F

I think you'll love the audio books! If you ever finish one or all of them, you could do a quick 5 minute vid of your opinion on it! (Or even just a post!)

What a memory from Oak.. Remembered Neville standing up to hus friends in the first movie. Generally house represent characteristics: Hufflepuff - Hardwork, loyalty, patience, fair play.. generally normal people who just work hard at stuff Gryffindor- brave and bold. Always looking to help People and always go head first into their problems. Ravenclaw - intelligence, planning, learning and wit. Those who debate stuff a lot Slytherin- ambition cunning heritage pride . People who will do what it takes to be the best. Neville took time to grow into his gryffindor and a lot of people thought he should have been a Hufflepuff which is where a lot of bumbling people end up. But his progression through the story is great. Neville could have also been the chosen one. Because the prophesy stated a boy born in July however Voldemort went for the Potters and Bellatrix went for the Longbottoms. Frank and Alice Longbottom were tortured into insanity and Neville visited them in the hospital every summer but they never recognised him. Fantastic reaction as always. I look forward to the round table. I hope you guys all check out the deleted scenes during that. Oak has been so great to watch through this series!

Thomas

I was eight years old when I saw Harry Potter at the movies for the first time, and I was hooked from that day on. I went through some tough times in my teen years, but these films and books guided me through them. It's a story all too known to the fans out there because it happened to a lot of us, but HP saved me and made me the woman I am today. The importance of values and standing up for what is right is set from the beginning until the very end. Overall the HP series is a modern fantasy classic, inspiring a whole generation to be their better selves. Thank you for jumping on board the Potterhead train and I hope you're enjoying your ride. It's just begun. Gratefully, Bruna, from Brazil

Bruna Pereira

So talking about Neville. Had to wait until now to drop this… but in the books the prophecy that was given about the chosen one being… “born at the end of July…” not only had more to it about the child being born to parents that had three times defied Voldemort but could have been about Harry who was born on July 31st or about Neville who if I remember correctly was born July 27th? But was also born at the end of July. But only the one marked by Voldemort would be the chosen one. Neville is such an underrated character. You also learn that in the books there was a lot of pressure on him from his family to live up to the expectations of his parents. His uncle even at the age of around 8 dropped him from a height to see if he could make him do magic to save himself. Also, the wand that Neville uses up until the Order of the Phoenix was actually his fathers and so never really chose him and is part of the reason why he struggled with learning spells. After Order of the Phoenix that wand gets broken and he finally gets a wand that chose him and really blossoms after that. And speaking as someone who went to the midnight premier of this movie I can assure you that it was magical. In all senses of the word. There was laughing, crying ( so much crying, I speak for myself of course) and cheers. All the years of waiting was absolutely worth it. But of course was absolutely gutted that it was over. I cried the entire way home because I knew that it was over. Sorry for rambling…. Great reaction once again. And thank you so much for this journey!

Breanna Sexton

This was such a nice surprise while at work. First got my notice my first paycheck at the new job went through early...then this gem is released a day early....LOVE IT! Let's do this boys and gals and everything in between. It's been such a wonderful journey.

Definitely Hunger Games, and Harry Potter Prequels all the way!

This is why Narcissa Malfoy lied; to get her son Draco out of there at the first opportunity. Interesting that Harry was saved by the love of a mother more than once. Narcissa was willing to betray Lord Voldemort to save her son, which by lying, she also saved Harry. >Hands, softer than he had been expecting, touched Harry’s face, pulled back an eyelid, crept beneath his shirt, down to his chest and felt his heart. He could hear the woman’s fast breathing, her long hair tickled his face. He knew that she could feel the steady pounding of life against his ribs. ‘Is Draco alive? Is he in the castle?’ The whisper was barely audible; her lips were an inch from his ear, her head bent so low that her long hair shielded his face from the onlookers. ‘Yes,’ he breathed back. He felt the hand on his chest contract; her nails pierced him. Then it was withdrawn. She had sat up. ‘He is dead!’ Narcissa Malfoy called to the watchers. And now they shouted, now they yelled in triumph and stamped their feet, and through his eyelids Harry saw bursts of red and silver light shoot into the air in celebration. Still feigning death on the ground, he understood. Narcissa knew that the only way she would be permitted to enter Hogwarts, and find her son, was as part of the conquering army. She no longer cared whether Voldemort won. -Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Neville is in the books way more, they removed him from a lot of scenes in the movies he was in in the books. For example, in the 1st movie when they find Fluffy the first time, Neville is with them in the books. Also NEville is more prevalent you are right. The prophecy they spoke of many times could have also been about NEville. "the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies....' Neville and Harry were both born at the end of July, Voldemort chose to go after Harry and it made him the chosen one. Neville could have been the chosen one. Harry did use the Resurrections stone, Thats what brought His parents,Lupin, & Sirius to him. The reason Harry was able to chose to live or die is because Voldemort was brought back with Potters blood which had Lilys protection spell in it. Voldemort couldn't kill Harry, only the piece of his soul. it was Harrys moms love saving him again. And I love the Fantastic Beats movie. They are amazing!

Brittany Lewandowski

Well that isn't canon so it's a good thing they cut it out. Doesn't happen the books.

Excited to be watching this now. I'll comment on the movie itself and your reaction after, but commenting on the plans moving forward. Definitely the hobbit should go before Fantastic Beasts, i just wasn't impressed with those movies personally, found them kinda stupid, but that's my opinion. I saw them both once, haven't had any desire to see them again personally. I would definitely do The Hunger games before Fantastic Beasts. So I would recommend doing Narnia (at least the books) but there are things to understand about it and it along with Harry Potter and LOTR were signature series from my childhood. It was written as a kids story, i think you're reactions would be similar to the first two Harry Potter movies. What makes it interesting is it was written by C.S. Lewis who was best friends with J.R.R. Tolkien, author of Lord of the rings, and there was a lot of literary debate between the two on the the value of Narnia. The other interesting point broadly speaking, i don't know your guys' faith, not unsubscribing either way, but narnia, is Christian allegory so for someone of faith there's interest there. Love your guys' content

Malfoy actually had the redemption, there was a deleted scene were, when Harry jumps from Hagrids arms, Draco runs and tosses Harry his wand which makes the change, so mad they cut it out!

Garajiru

here is some clarification when narcissa checks harry to see if hes alive she is asking harry if draco is still alive which is why he nods and as thanks she says hes dead

I'm so sad this journey is over! I've loved binging through ur guys's full reactions here on Patreon! Watching this movie in theaters when it came out was so emotional. I was 11 years old and bawled my eyes out cuz my childhood had officially come to an end, at least in my eyes. My entire childhood was consumed with my love for these movies, and so the minute I heard that John Williams theme one last time as the three are standing there and it fades to the credits, I was crying harder than I had for any movie ever. These movies are the one series I hold so extremely close to my heart, I've seen each movie probably more than 50 times over the past 20 years (and no I'm not exaggerating) and can probably quote each movie line for line, and yet I still get emotional watching them, especially the final scene where everyone says goodbye. It was a goodbye to Hogwarts and it was a goodbye to my childhood, but watching u guys react to them for the first time brought me back to being a little kid and experiencing them for the first time! Loved ur guys' reaction and I love the journey u guys have gone on! Can't wait for the roundtable as well as any other HP related content u have coming

Thank you for posting this, I’ve been severely depressed for the past couple of days so I needed something to take me away from my reality even for a couple of hours. Thank you so much. 💛

In relation to your Severus Snape comment: I believe it was actually one or two movies into the franchise when Alan thought of quitting the role of Snape whereas JK Rowling then chose to let him in on Snape's secret / backstory / etc. & letting Rickman know there was more to his character and thereby making him stay for the entire franchise.

I also think that Hedwigs death is the worst 😭 I sobbed reading the book, but I think they sold her short in the movie ❤️ She was SO loyal 🥰 RIP Hedwig

Tyta

You will never want to come out. Go to leaky cauldron and have fish and chips , that's my favorite 😍

You guys should visit the universal studio Wizarding world Florida.

Lock_Down

I remember the last book come out, and it was released at midnight. My best friend was out partying, so I had to buy it for her too... Then I read the whole book that night 🤣 But I knew that Snape was good. I really had a feeling before too, but the Halfblood prince gave it to me. Snape says to Harry Potter when he ran from Hogwarts: " No unforgivable curses from you Potter!" Why should Snape care? So I understood ❤️

Tyta

Also, great outfit, Oak!

Sarah Landry

absolutely LOVED this reaction!!! what a journey it’s been 🥲 can't wait for the hp anniversary and the round table!! amazing. been such a joy watching u guys! <3

Loved the reaction omg, and just want to add as a side note: At the year of release of this last movie/book. The twist about Snape was out of the left side, twist never saw coming - if I'm not mistaken even to this day, it is compared to the "Luke, I'm your father" level of twist. I remember when I was 17 and reading that specific chapter aptly named ‘The Prince’s Tale’ (a nod to the Halfblood Prince). I was crying so much, that I could barely see the words in the book, I had to literally read 3 times that chapter to comprehend to which level J.K. Rowling had us wrapped in that story/world. It actually hit me harder than reading the part where Harry confronts Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest. And then, watching it for the first time on the big screen, with that Oscar worthy performance by beloved late Alan Rickman, it just took the scenes out of the book. Snape to this day is my absolute favorite character, how well written and thought-through he was as character. You can do horrible things and be bad person, but you can not deny the power of love - and that was the theme I believe J.K. Rowling was trying to convey in the character. It/you might be/do wrong, it/you might be/do right - it's objective, but Love is genuine. You can not argue, debate or discuss 'Love', it's just a matter of fact and an emotional state of mind/heart. And in name of 'Love' we can do anything. Correct me if I'm wrong, fellow potterheads; But Alan Rickman was not convinced and eager to join the cast of the franchise due to having assumptions this was a kid movie/book (At the time of pre-production of the first movie, half of the books weren't even done/published). J.K. Rowling specifically went to Alan Rickman and confined the twist/secret of Severus Snape in Harry Potter world - And only then, Alan Rickman agreed to be cast as Snape. Alan Rickman was the only one that went through all those years of making of the movies with the knowledge of end-game and the twist. Imagine that, what a man Alan Rickman was <3

Aro

yoo the oak pulls of that outfit big time ngl Cheers from Norway!

5,5,5 ;) Actually I see the score for the whole series.

Lock_Down

just finished watching. saddest deaths will always be hedwig bc she sacrificed herself to try and save harry, such a loyal owl. snape because he was so brave to play double agent with the darkest wizard of all time. to protect harry even though he hated James, all because he loved Lily, to be so loyal to dumbledore that he killed him. and sirius black bc let’s be real he is the underestimated guy who just wants his godson to know he isn’t evil as he’s portrayed. *snape casts the doe patronis in front of dumbledore, revealing his was the same as Lily’s and that he’s been sending help to harry* dumbledore: “after all this time?” snape: “always” poor snape :(

keara king

As for Snapes Memories... honestly, after I always loved him and even in book one I was not fooled. In Half Blood Prince I was sure that Dumbledores "Severus, please" was a plea to be killed by Snape. The Deer - I was also sure it must heva belonged to Lily James and harry s is a stag - and it's said that soul mates Prtoni match each other Severus patronus was a doe, since Lily was his only happy thought. It's explained in the books, that Severus did not have a good live, abusive home and Lily was his first and only friend. So his patronus showed his happy momry - Lily (s patronus) The stone was in the ring that dumbledore used (and cursed his hand with) Voldemort used the ring to make a gorcrux which was destroyed by DUmbledore, but Dumbledore could not resist trying the ring on and using the stone to try and see his sister. (and yes, I have been jumping - I still need to make sure all the fathers at work get something small for fathers day and I can do preparations beside)
