EARLY ACCESS- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix FULL REACTION
Added 2022-05-05 22:51:57 +0000 UTC
Here we are Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and 100% HOOKED!!!! You folks were not kidding!!! What a movie this one was! And yes, you were right! This went DARK!!! Best movie yet out of the 5! We are very much looking forward to the next one in the HP series! Mason Quinn and The Answer are blown away and The Oak gets a little emotion during his review!
We did have a few technical difficulties.... we lost our intro. You will see The Answer Andrew, a few times get up and check the camera to make sure it's still recording.
Again, thank you all for the support and patience! We really appreciate all of you!
I just recently became a fan of you guys on YouTube and now here. I'm a little late, but not as late as you guys were on discovering Harry Potter and his world. lol jk. I just wanted to let you guys know that Regal is re- engineering the movies of Harry Potter on 4DX. I just went to see 1-4 this past weekend and I was in aww. I couldn't believe how amazing it was, especially when they were playing quidditch. Now that was fun. Later on this year they are going to do 5-8 and I recommend going to go see them. Idk if you guys have a movie theater REGAL around you, but if you dont, find one. it's 4DX. I'm sure they will put out the last 4 again just so people can experience them again. ive seen those movies so many times, but never like that. I enjoyed every bit of it. pls pls go!

So how did Oak know to say Snivalous if he didn't see the movie? That name doesn't come up until much later when Snape is referred to as Snivalous Snape..

100% agree. Sirius is my favourite, too, and I always cry my eyes out at the end of book 5. I wish there was more of him in the movie, but I understand that they had to cut alot of stuff. The movie-conversation in the beginning where Molly and Sirius are arguing (and the kids listen through the fake ear on a string) is so tame and lacklustre. In the book, it hits with such a huge emotional punch.

Hehe yeah, they missed a few cool moments, incl. Gary Oldman being iconic. But it's alright. I hope they might rewatch the movies on their own time at some point.

I don't know if it's already been said, but apparently Daniel's scream when Sirius dies was too raw and guttural that they muted it in the final cut.

Nevel, in the books, is my favorite character. Spoilers for those who didn't read them.
In the book, they see Ron's dad in the wizard hospital and, while there, visit lockhard, from the second book, who suffers from amnesia. It brings that childish, silly moment of the second book into a very adult tone, and is great on its own, but what I love about that scene is they is it to introduce what happened to Nevels parents.
While seeing lockheart, Harry spots nevel and spends some time with him while he visits his mom. When we meet his mom, she's completely delusional and unaware of where or who she is. We're THEN told immediately that she was tortured into insanity by Lastrange who would later escape..
Never is such a strong, underrated character.

New to the community here!👋In regards to what The Oak was saying at the end, yes, it was great to grow up with these movies. A lot of people who are fans of Harry Potter today are not just fans because of the movies and the books and the cool world of magic. It's because they grew up learning the many lessons in the story with this group of kids at Hogwarts who, when you look past the magic, are going through the same thing that they are going through. Since they were made to grow with the generation, a lot of the age group (I would say "millenials" for the most part) would be encountering situations in their real life that they apply these lessons and outlooks to, while otherwise feeling alone, inferior, doubtful of themselves and who they're turning out to be as they grow up, and scared of all of that because "kids can be cruel" as they say, and people dealing with these things can easily become a target because of them. No matter what someone is going through, there are so many different characters in these books/movies that someone can relate to and see themselves in, and be inspired to be brave, confident, or even just happy♥️That's the core of the fanbase, and the reason why we have such a special place in our hearts for this series

I’m 28 and I grew up on Harry Potter so it’s like my world. But I always love and appreciate watching someone who wasn’t a fan or someone who never thought they could appreciate the movie’s finally tapping in and seein what it’s all about. You got it right in the last reaction that Harry Potter was made for a generation. But Oak even though you didn’t watch them at the time time you knew of them and you can even place memories back to when they were out. I’m just glad you’re finally seeing and understanding the magic that is Harry Potter. I’ve seen the movies idk how many times and Im still crying watching this reaction, the messages and emotions from this series sticks with you especially if you read as well as watched!

you asked about trelawnys predictions, she actually is a seer but has only had 2 real predictions, the first we saw was in prisoner of azkaban when she goes all weird and tells harry about voldemorts return and hints at scabbers reveal, her only other real prediction was the one in this movie that was the weapon voldemort was after, he had only had part of the fortune before and its what caused him to hunt down harry and lose his powers but if he had heard the whole fortune he could have avoided everything

Hey Guys,
Great content your creating here. Really enjoying it a lot!
I personally preferred the YouTube video's because they offer you more possibilities to resize the window and play it alongside the original video. Vimeo only has the option of watching it embedded here in Patreon or watch it in full screen. I don't know what options there are if the video would be watchable on the site of vimeo, but I can't find any video's on your vimeo channel. Also the reason why you're switching to vimeo doesn't really come to fruition in my opinion, because I don't find that there is a lot less blurring than with the youtube video's.

I really appreciated the commentary at the end. It means a lot to me. Harry Potter means a lot to me, meant a lot growing up, it gave me hope, and escapism, I learnt a lot as well.
The Order of the Phoneix is one of my HP books and movies, it's really hard for me to rate them, but this one is very close to my heart. Another one I love dearly is The Half-Blood Prince, which I think is very underrated, but it truly gets darker in tone, it's one I cried a lot in, might I add; and then I love Deathly Hallows (pt.2 when it comes to the films), finales I'm always incredibly fond of, as well as beginnings, often times they are my favorites in stories, because it is the wonder of beginning and the melancholy of ending.
Can't wait for you to see the rest of the series to be honest, and then get to Fantastic Beasts (those aren't as good as these narratively speaking, but they hold their own sense of wonder, and we learn more about my absolute favorite character: Albus Dumbledore).
Thank you for doing two of my favorite series (LOTR and HP)!!!

I'm finally getting around to watching this reaction after the hellish week I have had. Loved the reaction! I want to touch on something before you move on to the next few movies.
Both Harry and Hermione were raised in muggle families and know nothing more about the wizarding world than what they have learned in school. Ron, on the other hand, is a child of a pureblood wizard family. He is the one who knows wizarding history, wizarding law, consequences of actions, and so many other things that Harry and Hermione could never know. What he slightly lacks is practical knowledge.
Hermione is a girl, and didn't learn she was magical until just before school started. So she is eager to prove herself. She is a rule follower at the beginning, but is learning to relax (a bit) by being friends with Harry and Ron. Still, Ron might have wizarding history knowledge but Hermione is the one who has the practical knowledge. What she lacks just slightly in is bravery.
Harry was also raised in a muggle family. He doesn't know wizarding history or laws like Ron does, and he doesn't have all the practical knowledge like Hermione does, but he has all the bravery.
The members of this trio complement each other completely. It is a literal dream team of skills, personalities, and knowledge. We began seeing this in the first movie, and it was even more clear in this one. Safe to say this will become even more important later.

In the common room that laugh was actually real. 100% a blooper.
You dont see it in the movie, but Auther goes to St Mungos (wizard hospital) where they see Lockheart still without his memory, and they actually see Neville visiting his parents, who's minds are basically lost. It's why Sirius told Harry the Longbottom's had a fate worse then Harry's parents. Cause being alive but had been tortured into insanity is much worse then death, its why Neville gets raised by his grandmother.
In Dumbledores office, not sure if you noticed Percy there, he got his job at the ministry, and sided with them over his family. He actually turned against his family because he believed the ministry over them.
Final movie you will learn the biggest secret of Snape and it will be the biggest shock! You will look back at everything and it will all make sense.
Right after Sirius dies, the scene is actually muted in post production because it was deemed to "agonizing" hearing Harry scream. Helena (Bellatrix) and Emma (Hermione) had actually cried a bit. Danielle (Harry) had such raw emotion during that scene. It being muted however really adds to it though, it gives you a chance to let it sink in that Sirius, Harry's last loving family member is dead (cause the Dursleys don't really count as loving)
So now that you have met Luna, I will say she is amazing. Her, Neville and Ginny are known as the Silver Trio while Harry, Ron and Hermione are known as the Golden trio. However the silver trio plays a much larger role in the books. Especially Ginny. Ginny is kinda just there in the movies, she doesn't play that big of a role sadly....you will see a lot of people say Book Ginny is much better.
SIDE NOTE: I work at Macys, I avoid the perfume section because I have bad asthma and the smell always makes it hard to breath.

As a Book lover and a Movie lover, I want to share that my FAVORITE character is Nymphadora Tonks the loyal and true Hufflepuff who is clumsy and blessed with the metamorphagus gene (why she can change her hair and face on command, not everyone can do that) she loves fiercely and is so driven. She is an Auror, a dark wizard catcher who paid her dues and the movies did her character so dirty, her parts were cut so much but I still love what they did keep, to this day i remember being in the theatres and being so dissapointed that x y and z didnt happen. Fun family history without spoilers her mother is Andromeda Tonks (Black) sister to Bellatrix lestrange (Black) and sister to Narcissa Malfoy (Black) -- mother to Draco and Wife to Lucious Malfoy. These Black sisters were cousins to Sirius, and its crazy when you realize he was murdered by his cousin and how Andromeda was blasted from the family tree for marrying a muggle born (Ted Tonks) how much purity really separated this family of the Ancient House of Black. Bellatrix remains my Favorite Villan to love, she is so psychotic and capable of terrible things, I was never terrified of Voldemort, but Bellatrix really got me. And I have a thing for adoring characters who aren't part of the main set up.
Watching you guys has been so rewarding, and watching Oak understand the bigger picture of these movies is like a balm to my soul. Because yes Harry Potter is a childrens story, but it is also so much more. You are all so great to watch and your reactions are guinuine. I can't wait to see the rest of the reacts. And you guys are 100 percent right these movies were pivotal to a generation. I remember my mother reading the first three books to me at bedtime, and waiting for the midnight book release and then midnight movie releases, I remember feeling like I wasn't alone. It is crazy how something so simple was so moving to a whole generation.
I adore how much all three of you are loving this series, if you have an oppertunity to read or audiobooks I HIGHLY recommend, and then a rewatch. 20 years later and sometimes I still catch things that just jump out at you.
Much love to you three stay safe out there.

Oh, Umbridge is everyone's least favorite villain. More hated than Voldemort or Bellatrix or anyone else. You can love to hate Voldemort; you can only hate Umbridge.
Sirius is my favorite character, so I had to stop reading when he died and literally cried myself to sleep. The one thing I hate about this movie is that they portrayed Sirius as confusing Harry and James / treating Harry like he was his father. In the books, Sirius wanted to tell Harry everything that was going on and believed it was stupid to treat him like a child since he was the one Voldemort was after and had gone through more than most of the adults in the Order of the Phoenix, but Dumbledore and the other adults overruled him. Molly Weasley wanted to tell Harry and the other kids absolutely nothing out of over-protectiveness, and she accused Sirius of treating Harry like a friend and said something very hurtful about Sirius not having been there for 13 years and trying to treat Harry like Sirius's long-lost best friend James. That's where the movie director got the idea to have Sirius say "Nice one, James!" but in reality in the books I don't think Sirius was doing that--it was an accusation by an over-protective mother who didn't agree with Sirius's parenting style.
Most people dislike 6, but it's one of my favorite because Voldemort is my second favorite character and we get a lot of him in 6. You'll see what I mean.

Love it how you changed your thoughts. Yeah, movies evolve as it goes up. It will be dark and dark till now. Next movies are also very touchy. If I say, first 3 was a near to teen and last 4 (there are 2 parts of last movie) are near to adults and action lovers.
Please try to listen and see as much as you can while watching next movies. And discuss stuff when not important scene running.
A lot of things coming next, and I bet oak will change his statement and say "Yeah, this is the movie type I can watch over and over again;)”

Forgot one tidbit. Luna is one of my characters in the series period, and I always thought one of the best looking actresses in the series (I looked it up I'm only 15 days older than her). Her conspiracy theories are great. In the books she tells Harry this "I don't think you should be an Auror, Harry. The Aurors are part of the Rotfang Conspiracy, I thought everyone knew that. They're working to bring down the Ministry of Magic from within using a combination of Dark Magic and gum disease."

An explanation/expansion on the Department of Mysteries, which isn't fully spelled out in the books even:
It is a Ministry division dedicated to the study of the nature of and magic relating to certain inscrutable subjects that can never be truly and fully understood. In the books there is a central room that rotates to allow access to the different rooms. In the film we see the room with the orbs which is the study of prophecy/the future and the dark room with the veiled archway which is the study of death - only the people who had seen death could hear the voices from beyond the pale and when he was killed Black quite literally fell through the veil into death.
In the book they go through several other rooms looking for the room of prophecy and then fight through them later: Included in these are a room with a fishtank holding living brains for the study of knowledge, a room containing a lot of timepieces, timeturners like Hermione had in the 3rd book, and various other contraption which is where they study time (one of the death eaters is knocked into a shelf in this room and stands back up with the head of an infant), and they don't enter it but they see a heavily secured and locked iron door which contains the most powerful, dangerous, and mysterious magic of all, love.
Some other notes from the books:
-Mrs. Figg, the squib (person incapable of magic born to a magical family), is introduced in book 1 as a neighbor of the Dursleys who typically looks after Harry whenever they go off to do anything fun. She gets portrayed as the sort of old neighbor lady most children find incredibly boring, but Harry values it over the cruelty of the Dursleys. She is finally revealed to be a squib in this book/film Dumbledore recruited to keep an eye on Harry and report if anything too magically amiss should occur.
-In the books Dudley recovers from the Dementor attack enough during his parents' berating of Harry to sputter something out in his defense.
-The woman who administered the vote at Harry's trial is Amelia Bones, aunt of Susan Bones who is a Hufflepuff in the main crew's year at Hogwarts. Susan is one of the more frequently noted background characters throughout the novels. In the book she's the one who asks about Harry's Patronus at the DA info session, having been told about it after the trial by her aunt.
-Umbridge is horrible, and has deep prejudice toward any non-human sentient magical beings, and especially mixed blood individuals like the half-giant Hagrid or the centaur Firenze, whom Dumbledore hires as professor Trelawney's replacement. People tend to despise her more than Voldemort, because while he's cartoonishly evil she is portrayed as bigoted in ways that uncomfortably realistic to our world.
-Snape, as a member of the Order, understood Harry's coded message and contacted their HQ to find Sirius quite safe there.
-They paired up on the thestrals, so each one had a person who had seen death riding upon them. They comment on how bizarre it is to ride something you cannot see, and Hermione who hates flying at all is even more uncomfortable. They can all see them on the way home.

Really enjoyed your reactions for this one. Yes, everyone has their favorite part for various reasons, but it doesn't mean that one is worse than the other. For me, Prisoner of Azkaban was my favorite movie but Order of the Phoenix was my favorite book. For reasons. The 7th and final book was the only one that had me in tears, but I still prefer the 5th book over it. It could just be how you relate to the story or it grabbed your attention more compared to others.
Overall, it is a really well thought-out story that takes you on this journey of growth for the character of Harry Potter.
I am one who believes the movies pale in comparison to the books. However, most people that did not read the books really love the movies. I love lore and details. Sadly, the movies leave a lot out. It was such a debate at the time the movies came out about whether they had to start splitting the later movies into 2 parts because of the amount of lore. This was a rather new concept for book adapted movies at the time. Ultimately they chose to do this for the final book. I believe the movies were released within 6 or 7 months of eachother.
Also, when they started adapting these books to movies, JK Rowling hadn't finished the entire series yet. I believe she only had 4 books done when they started making movies. I think it hurt some of the storytelling in the movies because some characters that were earlier on introduced had small roles that diminished over time only to realize they were more significant in later installments. I think Rowling had to sometimes let the directors and some actors know ahead of time what she was planning on in later books. One actor almost decided to leave the franchise because he or she didn't think their character significant until Rowling had to tell them what she had planned for their character.
I do hope that one day you guys would read the books, because Rowling put a lot into those stories. I remember how people would analyze her writing to discover secrets and predict what they thought was going to happen. Sometimes, things would be revealed and you had to go back to previous books and realize the breadcrumbs she was leaving behind. There is one interesting tidbit that was fun to discover, but I won't mention it until after ya'll are done with the series.
Lastly, once done. Consider visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios, if possible. I'm pretty sure you guys would enjoy it after becoming official potterheads.

For your question on the impact of wizards on the ''real'' world. YES there are huge mass muggle deaths caused from wizards, these are quietly influenced after the fact by the official wizarding governments. So a giant wrecking a town gets turned into a tornado. A wizard destroying a city block is a ''gas leak explosion''.
There is awareness in muggle governments of wizards, such as the UK prime minister or the presidents of countries are ware and regularly interact with the wizarding governments to assist with the coverup or coordinate in searches such as muggle police thought Sirius Black was terrorist

I've always found great inspiration from fiction, whether they're books or movies. I haven't always had many inspiring people in my life, so fiction is where I found my role models growing up. I think that is one of the main beauties of stories, and as you've noticed Harry Potter does it extremely well. Very excited for the next movies, as always. I think the reason why people have different movies as their favourites is that although they do get only darker and more mature as we go, they're not otherwise equal. Some have more action than others, some are more about this or that. And they all have a different feel to them. So it's not because the later ones aren't really good, they just offer different things

Just a tidbit of context from the books. "The Marauders", James, Sirius, Lupin and Pettigrew all had nicknames when they were friends at Hogwarts. Their story is told a little in the Prisoner of Azkaban book, but this detail was left out of the movie mostly. However, they do refer to them by the nicknames in the later films. So in the flashback of James bullying Snape, its not Mad-Eye Moody with them. You heard right. It is Moony who is Lupin (because of the werewolf/moon thing). Harry later refers to Sirius as Padfoot (because he can turn into a dog). Wormtail is Pettigrew (who turns into a rat). James is Prongs (because of the antlers of his Stag patronus). Someone may have already cleared that up, but it may be useful knowledge going forward.

A Request: We are getting close to the end now. Much of the story has been revealed but there is still much more revealing to do. We have heard two prophecies regarding harry and Voldemort now. I wonder, what predictions you would have for the conclusion of this story? Maybe we can hear some before you watch Half Blood Prince?

Jeez so much i want to say here, ill try to keep it together, lol. First of all, Oak, i knew after the sorcerer's stone that we were going to win you over with these movies. I could tell you were invested in the story, even if you kept saying they were kids movies that you would never watch again... You absolutely nailed it here, they arent just kid movies, they are the beginning to this great coming of age story, im so glad you see it now. You are also right about the book readers getting much more out of the films. No matter how good they are, the films are an abridged copy of the international, best-selling, pop culture phenomenon that is the Harry Potter series. While you thank this community of witches and wizards who voted on this series, We thank you, a few common muggles for opening your mind and taking us on this journey with you. Lastly, your fondness and kindness towards Luna will endear us all to you. Not even a Slytherin like myself could deny her grace and wisdom. I am so looking forward to the next chapter.

ok, a few things! 1) James is harry’s middle name bc his dads name is “James Potter” so sirius dies after thinking he is back fighting along side his best friend james again even tho it was harry.
2) bellatrix kills sirius and they are literally cousins
3) the next movie is literally mainly lore and story. i really hope you guys can catch most of it. you’ll find out SO much about Snape. and you’ll see tom riddle(voldemort)’s past and how he becomes to be the dark lord. you ALSO get to see a whole new side of Draco Malfoy that makes you not hate him. I know it’s tough to catch everything but i reallllly hope y’all can really tune in and listen to this one bc it has the most back story of them all. it’s not flashy and action packed, it’s an amazing story telling movie.
4) Luna Lovegood is the best harry potter character i am so in love with her and it only gets better with each following movie

You guys need to read the books and do roundtable discussions of them. You can actually listen to the audiobook free online here https://hpaudiobooks.club/ thoughts to share with you guys. So Snape and Harry's father's history is known throughout the books. It's revealed that Snape was nosy about why Lupin kept disappearing and Sirius told Snape how to get past the womping willow and told Snape if he went down that tunnel to the shrieking shack he would find out about Lupin, but James Potter intervened and saved Snape from finding lupin transformed into a werewolf, saving snape's life. Quidditch believe it or not plays a big role in the book. Off the top of my head that's the main points I want to offer. Others have covered Neville's parents. Oh and a humorous but messed up thing is so when umbridge is rescued from the centaurs she is stuck in the hospital wing for a while and students would go by her bed when she's asleep and make the sounds of hoofbeats to cause an PTSD panic attack

I was so excited to see this one today! First of all, like everyone else watching Oak transform into a fan and actually understanding our love for this series is amazing. Several people have already explained Neville's parents so I won't bother there. Something that wasn't explained was that Professor Trelawny was the one who actually made the prophecy about Harry and Voldemort. She has no recollection of making it just like she didn't remember making the one to Harry in POA about Wormtail reuniting with Voldemort. That's why Dumbledore hired her, she was actually interviewing with Dumbledore for the job when she gave the prophecy so Dumbledore was the recipient. He has kept her in the castle and safe because Voldemort could go after her to get the prophecy.
Luna Lovegood is a pretty beloved character amongst the fans. Most of us adore her. She calls things like they are and doesn't put extra emotion on things. For example she comments in the books a couple times that Ron can be mean and he definitely can. She also is hesitant to even call them friends because THEY haven't called her one. I adore her so much and you guys being offended that people are stealing her stuff makes me so happy. Luna deserved to have respect. She is smart, funny and uncommonly loyal. Though it is only briefly mentioned at the beginning of the movie, part of the problem is that her father is the editor of a newspaper which would be the wizard version of the Enquirer. Its jokes that no one believes except Luna and her dad. Hence the talk of Nargles. Also in the book what brings people back around to Harry is that he actually gives an interview to Lunas father about what is really going on and he prints it.
Umbridge. Impossible to say that name without disgust. She is universally the most hated HP character, even more so then Voldy. They are both evil but at least Voldy doesn't hide it behind pink, kittens and little giggles.
Now I worry that people saying x is my favorite has made you think it is downhill from here. It isn't. There is so much more to come. And yes more reveals that you will realize were clued in way back in the first movie. There are many more twists and turns and battles to come. 3 is my favorite but only because Sirius is my favorite character and if he didn't die in this one, 5 would be. I lose it when he dies every time though. These movies can absolutely be rated individually but you will never see the full picture without all of them.
And just of note, Harry is sassy as hell in the books. My favorite quote of his is when he is being trained by Snape and calls him Snape. Snape says "Professor" correcting him. Harry's comeback? "There's no need to call me Professor, sir." Lol
Also something no one has mentioned was that Harry gave the twins his Triwizard winnings. He made them promise to keep it quiet and to buy Ron some new dress robes. It is with that money that they begin their Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes joke business. All those sweets they were talking about were their own inventions.

Brilliant reaction, guys! Loving the review after the movie. The first moments when I was watching the ending, where Luna is looking for her stuff, I thought that was kind of comic, but gradually I realized how sad it was. Great reaction video! Personally, liked the next movie (Half-Blood Prince) even more than Order of the Phoenix. And remember that movies 7 and 8 are one book, so don't expect 7 to have the resolution you would expect... but it all leads up to the movie I consider my absolute favorite in the series, the final movie Deathly Hallows 2. And remember: Many of the questions you ask along the way will make sense after seeing them all.

Yeah, in the end I stayed up to watch the movie with you guys (it's about 4am here). You should know that generally Harry Potter fans do not like this film because it very little follows all the events told in the book and gives approximate explanations. And as far as grading the films individually, I've never been able to do that. As far as I'm concerned it's ONE story told in multiple volumes. The Sorcerer's Stone doesn't mean anything if nothing follows it. The Order of the Phoenix wouldn't make sense or appeal to anyone if nothing came before it. It's all the Tale of Harry Potter to me.

So the next movie is my absolute least favorite movie. It's, in my opinion, the worst book to film adaptation. That being said many people who have not read the books love it. I was going to mention nevilles parents but someone else already did and I'm sure you get tired of reading the same comment a million times. I do recommend reading or listening to the books. So much plot gets cut out. I'm not talking like they remove a background character or take out one scene, there are huge plot holes created in the films due to things being left out. There's harry potter audio books on youtube, even a couple people who read them outloud that can do great voices. But I totally get it if you can't or don't want to read them. Although it would be fun to have you guys do comparison videos if you did read them. I enjoyed the reaction and I like the long discussions afterward.

I wanna add something about Neville's parents because I think you misunderstood what happened to them. Not your fault as the movies gloss over it a bit I think to avoid upsetting the younger fans.
But Neville's parents are alive. They are just in permanent hospice care. Bellatrix Lestrange tortured them so severely that they lost their minds. They can't speak and they don't really respond to others.
Neville still visits them occasionally which was a scene from the book that was cut from the film, but they don't recognize their son at all. That's why Sirius said "They suffered a fate worse than death" when he showed Harry that picture of the order.
And if you recall, the imposter Moody from the last film? Who was Crouch's son? We found out in that courtroom memory scene he was one of the Death Eaters that was with Bellatrix when she tortured them. And he had demonstrated that same curse on the spider thing right in front of Neville's face.
He made Neville watch what happened to his parents...
That's Neville's story.

The Oak nailed it last time. This set of movies did something really unique in that it took a specific group of children in the audience and let them grow up with the movies. JK Rowling actually had the idea of doing that with the books so that each book grows with a reader. You can give the first book to an 11 year old and the vocabulary, complexity and character development will grow up with the reader. It was a brilliant idea. Love this series and glad to see that you now know why so many people love this series so intensely. Especially happy to see The Oak won over. I like that it may help you understand why Harry Potter fans love to watch these pictures over and over and especially love watching good reactors like you three.

I just wanted to give some fun little facts. I remember one of you mentioning Nevilles parents are dead. They actually aren't they were just tortured to insanity with the cruiciatus curse. In the book you actually see them when Harry and the group go visit Mr Weasley in the hospital. You also see Lockhart(DADA from movie 2) there in the insane asylum from the memory curse back firing on him. Also in the book Bellatrix doesn't use the killing curse on Sirius. He actually would have lived if he hadn't been standing in front of the veil. Danielles reaction to Sirius dying was also all real emotions as his grandfather had also just died, His screaming and wailing in the scene they though was actually far to much so they removed the sound of it in the film. Helena Bonham also perforated Nevilles actors ear drum when she hit him with her wand. I also find it hilarious you mentions TLoRT because Danielle Radcliffe and Elijah Wood get confused for each other all the time. There's some videos of them talking about confusing them for the other actor.
