99. Demi Changed Her/Their Pronouns Again

So, thankfully, Tracie's use of "she" throughout this episode, was not misgendering after all. Plus, she and Rich talk more J. Lo and answer questions.

I know this is older but I did want to say that I would also find it "weird" if the only time I was intimate with my partner it was when they initiated it. It can almost be dismissive of your partners needs and could potentially be a power dynamic issue. Of course, I speak from my personal experience and I haven't been in the healthiest of relationships all the time. Love the podcast and love that you leave in real moments like that.

Hi there. I wanted to just touch on the long-time-pal-bickering in this ep ( a type of bickering that I am very familiar with in my life) I think that in every day conversations with friends we make generalizations without having to add all sorts of caveats, because most of our friends will understand the subtext and intent of whatever generalization we are making (ie it’s weird if guys don’t want to have sex with you) Like, obviously people are different from each other in all sorts of ways, but for the sake of the flow of conversation I think we can read between the lines on what Tracie is saying without clarification that not everyone has the same sex drive. Of course they don’t and everyone is different, but I also understand what Tracie was saying…and I am a fan since the One D days, so I would say that Tracie has good experience with straight male sexuality. Also, anecdotal experience is appropriate to reference when you’re just shootin the sh*t. I can also see that since Rich has another podcast where sex and sexuality is discussed with care and respect to the vulnerability inherent in those topics, he would have the instinct to pump the breaks on any statement that makes an absolute summation of a person’s sex life. That being said, I like listening to Tracie say what she wants to say without her flow being halted any time she’s just sort of chatting while high. I think your fans know you both well enough (especially the paywall fans) that Tracie isn’t saying all men like and want sex the same way. But of course there is a “normal” bar in which we judge things against and I would say that yeah, a guy always turning you down when you initiate isn’t “normal”. Rich, I respect your commitment to clarification and being very true in your language. Tracie, I get what you mean and I love listening to you talk. You’re both very hot and smart, god bless.

I agree with Rich that Jennifer did Mariah a favor by using that Yellow Magic Orchestra sample. The original version of "Loverboy" is not good and was elevated with the Cameo "Candy" sample.

You two are caping for Jennifer entirely too hard. She’s a straight up thief, like her or not, and to be totally dismissive of the fact that other peoples vocals exist on HER albums?! You’re better off pretending you didn’t know.
