2022-03-04 00:33:59 +0000 UTCI've been looking forward to hearing Rich and Tracie's commentary on Fried Green Tomatoes! However, was super surprised to hear that Tracie loved the book. My boyfriend and I read FGT together last year and we both agreed it was one of the worst books we have ever read. It was hard to get through and it wasn't because it was difficult to understand. Love the movie and screenplay, hate the book.

I always relate these two films because they both kind of pull their punches and end up mediocre but they're still such go-to comfort films for me as a girl who came of age in the 90s. It's on Disney+ if you guys feel compelled to watch it. (Also there's an Aunt Vesta in Sabrina the teenage witch).
