MTV's Pedro Zamora Special

Just two months later, Pedro was hospitalized and diagnosed with Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML), which caused the inflammation of lesions on his brain. At the time, there was no treatment and he deteriorated quickly and died in November, just hours after the last episode of the San Francisco season aired.
