Specifically, this chapter takes place between Bet On Black and Bet On Red. Mallory isn't yet pregnant with her second child, but she does have her first. It shows what an actual average day in Mallory's life is like, now that she's become a part of Stepford's brainwashed masses.

As opposed to a much more kinky fun of "oh dear, that sounds like an independent thought, perhaps you should take a take a tranquilizer and watch the spiral for a few more hours" "oh yes dear that's a wonderful idea my brain could use a good washing to ensure my continued obedience."
