I wanna ramble lot about the process of this art piece this time :P
After holidays, getting used to do draw again is always hard but this time it felt extra hard. I had vision in my head that i do wanna draw Sylvi from behind and with a little lower angle. I kept drawing it time and time again, so the one sketch page doesn´t do justice on how many times i actually tried to fix and redraw it x) i wanted to start over many times but each time the sketch just turned out almost exactly the same as previous. after day 3 of sketch struggles, i decided to just to settle to it, even tho the torso apparently twists too much cause one of my toxic artist traits is tro try to show as much of the goodies as possible xD So i refused to bend her chest more forward or butt more to the side.
With the sketching also i was doubting myself the whole time, like now the torso is too short, now its too long, does it even bend like that, now the face looks stupid, lets go back to original, now the arm is too long, now butt is too big, must move this art, now she looks stupid again.
The times when i was happy with the anatomy, but once it came time to add the kimono, it looked stupid again :P repeat the process 20+ times
With the last shades part, im not good at cast shadows but figured there would be some from the umbrella and it would add some more contrast to the art, since its all pink and blues. It likely looks better with out the shadow, but i wont improve with them if i dont keep doing them.
im not fully happy with the results but i dont hate it either :P I have become more critical than ever of my art, which isnt necessarily a bad thing but it causes bad mood and slow process :P i hope to see some improvement this year
