The AeroPress Premium Review

I'll be interested in your feedback once you've watched it, but we felt that after the testing we had done there was some interesting stuff that was worth talking about. One thing to note now is that the price is even higher - which I guess is a tariffs thing - though that price jump may not be significant to those that this brewer is targeting (or at least the group that just wants the nicer thing, and has disposable income).

I've had the same Aeropress for 7 - 8 years now. I think it's version 2. It's getting a bit ribbed on the inside of the brewing chamber which is a bit of a worry, but it still makes the same great coffee. If the glass one lasts as long or even longer, I have no problem paying $15 a year for a device that looks good and will not deteriorate over time.

2025-05-14 19:00:08 +0000 UTCI paid $35 for a regular Aeropress… and I just don’t get how we jumped to $150 for a brewer that makes the same cup of coffee. To put it in perspective: a plastic V60 is like $12. The glass one? Around $24. Doubling the price for “nicer” materials? That makes sense. But $150 for an Aeropress? Unless it grinds the beans, boils the water, and apologizes to my wife for me, I’m not seeing the value. If it had been around $70, maybe I could’ve sold it to her as a “limited edition caffeine-enhancing investment.” But at $150? I’d need a PowerPoint and divine intervention (divine intervention meaning James Hoffmann, of course).
