What we're looking at now is a mixture of 4 AI generated images layered together with some additional overpainting. This particular version of MidJourney is so noisy and low res that I really need to paint over every inch of this piece before I can call it down. The whole time I'm working on it I'm questioning how much this is a time saver and how much it's just getting me stuck in interesting new places.
In addition to this piece I've begun working on my iPad Pro for the first time in about 3-4 years. I never really stuck to it before but I've been enjoying doodling on it more than on paper recently.
On one hand I wonder if these AI experiments are a path forward to boosting my output, but on the other hand I just think I need to draw more. In the end it's not really about how much artwork I finish, this whole project is in service of the process of making art.
I'll be posting my experiments with Infinite Painter soon.
