I knew early on that I wanted to create a celestial maiden with a twist. In place of giving her wings, I'm playing off the Greek roots by merging the depiction of the virgin goddess Astraea with the lascivious symbol of the swan. Locked together, the two opposites create the form of a classical Angel.
