Now I think we're getting a better look at him. Changing the gesture of the head and the hand is really making a difference here. I've also managed to work out the kinks in the flow of the figure without making any changes that broke other stuff.
What you aren't seeing here is the version that started to drift slowly off course and was ultimately reigned in by erasing down to the original drawing. There is always something special about those original lines where things are always in a more comfortable balance. Moving away from it recklessly always seems to trade one problem for another.
My goal with the Grigori is to continue the thread of using more surreal color palettes like with Af and Rahab. I'm leaning on the warm blue midtones and hot shadow colors a lot again but I'll be forced to experiment with other options more as the new series progresses.
