Currently, I dive more into blueprints - this will be necessary for many things. I need to get to know my way around variables, functions, and all the non-visual stuff, too, to make stuff both in biomes and other mod endeavors more dynamic, changing on parameters, and flexible.
To put the learning to use, I have started with a little feature coming right from Mechwarrior 2: Satellite Link for vonHUD!
With a keypress, the camera zooms out, and you see a battlefield overview. In the future, that could also lead to more interactive things like (and this is a far-fetched dream;) commanding mechs with mouse clicks in a commander interface.
You can find a first version, very early and rough, already for a tryout in the Supporters Discord channel - drop me a message if you do not yet have access!
(Invite as usual: https://discord.gg/pbPzX9eyss, join up and post a "Hi from Patreon" in #thebar or somewhere else;)
I will keep you posted about progress.. thank you, and all the best from the vonModFactory!
Cheers!
-Jonathan
PS: if you have not seen it yet: the first caves are also already coming to live - for testing purposes as a single map tile for now. More to come!
