2024-12-07 01:33:13 +0000 UTCThis movie is pretty fun to watch: Ace getting split into 4 of his traits, the new villains and the X Geats looks dope as hell, good fighting scenes as always, the Geats oness form look gorgeous, the cameo of Kamen Rider Gotchard is cool too.

Something to bear in mind about Rider movies like this introducing the next season is that it's frequently the very first thing they film before they've figured out the characterization or effects. Basically they have a suit, the gimmick, and a voice. (Sometimes the face.)

2024-12-06 14:49:16 +0000 UTCGotchard is a tough season to swallow. The action is fine, like most Rider seasons, but the writing is where it's tough to get through. I had similar problems with Ghost and Saber, both were written by the same person and make similar story choices which dragged them down for me. If you like them that's fine, but you'll understand if you decide to watch them. It's kinda one of those, when you see something better and compare them then you understand what the problem was sort of thing along with just story logic. Gavv, thankfully, has been peak since episode 1 so far.
