Added 2025-03-27 15:00:17 +0000 UTCThe best preserved mummy found in a mountain, jumping spiders live off stray flies in the mountains and the cutest goats you’ll ever see. On this episode of World’s Wildest, Maya & Connor talk through our world’s wildest mountain animals.

Sluff is the pronunciation for the verb slough. Maya was reading the pronunciation for the noun slough- which is like a swamp inlet. English is stupid

2025-04-06 23:57:09 +0000 UTCConnor is right that whole units of Celsius are less specific than whole units of Fahrenheit, which is why temperatures in Celsius are often displayed with one decimal place. However, since local temperatures usually vary by a whole degree anyway, i really don't see the point. Badum tss.

2025-03-31 16:01:24 +0000 UTChard disagree about Fahrenheit vs Celsius for temperature. Celcius is consistent and so much easier. In Celcuis, water freezes at 0 and at 100 degrees it boils. It's Fahrenheit that's messed up for matching Celcius at -40

2025-03-28 12:52:23 +0000 UTCHi first time commenter, Mount Denali was federally renamed after the 25th president Mckinley, let just say the new administration in the US has very aligned views with President McKinley whom was president form 1897-1901…. Please do your own research on what things they align with this comment is already very long :) love Alveus Sanctuary and this podcast

2025-03-27 20:59:38 +0000 UTC“They look like baby Winnie.” “No, they don’t look like baby Winnie; they’re so cute.” I’m deeply wounded on Winnie’s behalf. That little red calf was so cute. I guess mucking and bottle-feeding all the time takes away some of the novelty. But Connor’s muskox pictures were so cute

2025-03-27 20:46:13 +0000 UTCEnglish is not my first language, but I've always pronounced it like Maya (slouf)! Wish I had a better imagination for the goat name, but can't wait to see what others come up with <3
