Hopefully this gets back to Connor and Maya. Theory is for sloths pooping on floors is a symbiotic relationship with a moth living in sloths fur/moss that lays eggs in the poop. If they pooped from the tree, the moth wouldn’t be able to lay eggs. Please please fact check this. I learned this from “extraordinary insects” by anne thygeson
