Trish
[wearing an ‘ugly xmas sweater’ and reindeer antlers] Thanks. Figured I’d get into the spirit of the season for this session.
MMS
Nice. Anyway, your new character’s a warlock?
Trish
Yeah, specifically Archfey patron.
MMS
Cool, go on.
Trish
So, he’s got the Guild Merchant background.
MMS
Okay.
Trish
He became a Warlock when someone broke into his home and he felled them in self-defence, only to find out they’d been possessed by an ancient fey spirit, who, with nobody else present, merged with my guy.
MMS
Oh, so your character’s kinda, like, fused with his patron? Like an Eddie Brock situation?
Trish
Exactly. Anyway, at first my guy thought it’d been a dream, until his patron’s followers showed up.
MMS
Must’ve been quite a shock.
Trish
For sure.
