(UPDATE: DONE) Pending revisions to Patreon tiers!

Hey, Manticores!

So, a couple weeks ago, I made a post about revising and adjusting the Patreon tiers here. I've been working on it and taking y'all's input on that post into consideration, and I've devised a plan for shuffling and revising the tiers of this page.

However, it's important to me that I get some feedback from y'all before I just slam it down on the table — because at the end of the day, this page is just as much about you as it is about me.

So! I've laid out the following planned changes:

Manticore Eggs — $2/month

The old list:

• Name in credits

• Patreon-exclusive posts and WIPs from video projects

The updated list:

• Name in credits of full videos

• Patreon-exclusive posts and WIPs from video projects AND Shorts

This tier is essentially the same, but including occasional WIPs from Shorts as well as full videos. I haven't been posting the occasional funny screenshot or blooper from my Shorts here, and this is changing that.

Manticore Cubs — $5/month

The old list:

• Early access to videos

• Two wallpapers per month

The updated list:

• Early access for full videos

• One wallpaper per month

• "Suspiciously Familiar Character Creation" guessing posts on Mondays

So, I post a series on Fridays that feature someone creating a D&D character that is directly based on another fictional character, with part of the fun being seeing if viewers can guess what the character is before the reveal at the end.

The idea I've had for the guessing posts is that after writing that week's episode on Monday, I could post a part of the script for the episode on here, and people could guess which character it's meant to be, with the first correct guess being given a shout-out in the comments of the actual Short when it's released.

Manticores — $12/month

The old list:

• Animated name in credits

• Voting on future video topics

• Patreon-exclusive art

The updated list:

• Animated name in credits of full videos

• Weekly chat post

• Ask questions for monthly Q&A short

The weekly chat post would be a post on here where I ask a question, or a couple of questions, like "What's the weirdest D&D story you have?" or "What's your favourite mythical monster and why do you like it?" and then we can have a chat about it in the replies.

The "monthly Q&A short" would be a thing where, each month, I post a Short on YouTube where I (or other characters from my videos) answer questions submitted by my Patreon supporters.

Elder Manticores — $25/month

The old list:

• Name spoken in credits

• A personal portrait of you in my video style

• Patreon-exclusive tutorials

The updated list:

• Name spoken in credits of full videos

• Mentioned NPC named after you

• Monthly personal audio message requests from characters

The mentioned NPC thing would be, in my D&D shorts, when the DM is describing an NPC, names for the NPCs get picked from Elder Manticore patrons.

The audio messages perk was originally in the next tier, but I realised that I wanted it to be a bit more accessible, since I have way more characters with distinct voices and personalities now than when I originally wrote that, and I also have more opportunities to record extra audio.

Also, important to note, if you're currently an Elder Manticore patron, and you're worried about losing your chance to get a portrait — don't worry! That change will only apply to new patrons. If you joined at Elder Manticore tier before now and haven't gotten your portrait yet, I'm not taking that away from you.

Legendary Manticores — $50/month

The old list:

• Portrait from previous tier appears in credits

• Personal audio messages from characters

The updated list:

• Topic choice for an episode of "Suspiciously Familiar Character Creation"

• Personal portrait of you, included in credits of full videos

I've combined the two different portrait perks (not sure why they were different in the first place, tbh), and I've added the opportunity to give me topics/characters to do in my Suspiciously Familiar Character Creation series.

So, in conclusion...

Just like last time, please reply to this post to let me know what your thoughts are! I've spent a while finagling these, so if you folks sign off on them, then I'll probably make the changes sometime early-to-mid-next-week.
