Mid-Summer 2022: So Okay Here's the Thing™ Update!!

Greetings, manticores™! We've got an update for you here!

So over the past couple weeks, we've made some pretty big plans in the schedule of Summer 2022 for So Okay Here's The Thing™, Co., Inc, and this post is to inform you about a couple unexpected changes to those plans.

What we'd previously planned had gone approximately as follows:

• Make video about one of MMS's current interests with stunning animations, side-splitting comedy, and engaging character dialogue!

• Make short video essay miniseries looking over a popular recent trend in pop culture and science fiction, incorporating the SCP Foundation, Marvel™ movies, Star Trek™, and more!

• Release regular TikTok™ videos and Instagram™ reels with kinetic typography, character animations, and design timelapses!

• Post timely and consistent Patreon™ perks, including wallpapers, behind-the-scenes content, and polls!

• Full reconstruction of the previously broken Danny DeVito™ ice sculpture!

• Much more™!

Unfortunately, some unexpected circumstances have arisen, and the aforementioned plans have been slightly adjusted! The updated version of the schedule is as follows:

• The item "make video about one of MMS's current interests" has been modified to "accidentally break external hard drive that contains the vast majority of assets, templates, and other resources needed to create So Okay Here's the Thing™ content"!
• "Make short video essay miniseries looking over a popular recent trend in pop culture and science fiction" has been modified to "Consistently fail to make regular backups of drive, resulting in needing to pay™ for data recovery™ due to mechanical failure"!
• "Release regular TikTok videos and Instagram reels" has been modified to "Spend over a week researching data recovery options and eventually discover that this specific mechanical™ failure™ will require thousands of dollars™ for data recovery, if it's even possible"!
• "Post timely and consistent Patreon perks" has been modified to "Get sick™ abruptly and unexpectedly, making working on getting money for the data recovery™ process grind to a halt for several days"!
• Cancelation of the Danny™ DeVito™™ ice sculpture.
• "Much more!" has been modified to "Much more!", but with a significantly less chipper™ and enthusiastic™ overall tone of exclamation.™

Okay, so in all seriousness, I did break my drive, I don't have backups of a lot of the vital data that I need for the channel, and it is going to cost a really insane amount of money to have data recovery done.

I was planning on releasing a short kinetic typography video this week (kinetic typography is easier to do without that missing data than the animation is), but I suddenly came down with some pretty unpleasant bug that's going to make that unlikely. If I release content on the channel in the next couple of days, it might be some shorts from my TikTok/Reels.

I'm working on getting things sorted out, and thanks for bearing with me in this suddenly difficult time for the channel.
