Important about Patreon Rewards

No, don't worry, I'm NOT gonna change rewards again, that would be too soon and I really want to maintain rewards as they are. They will work perfectly according the plan if I ever clear my queue, and I have an idea for it.

This is regarding a problem I've been noticing with my queue and my totally lack of time that avoids me to not work a day of the week, and my stress if there is a day that I'm hanging with my friends and I'm not working, knowing that I have a long queue waiting for me at home.

This issue started from the previous way I was taking Patreon rewards, that according math, I was needing to do around 23 drawings per month only for rewards. In this new plan that I started at the beginning of this year, precisely on January 2022, I was only going to take 8-10 drawings per month as Patreon reward, which was very convenient to leave many more days to work on own projects.

My problem is that, when I started making work the new Patreon reward plan, I still had around 80 drawings on my queue, that finally a month ago I could finish, but I kept accepting ideas for rewards that I was adding to my queue from all of you. Most of you are very patient with me and I'm very thankful for that. But since I was adding more and more drawings from rewards to my queue, despite they were way less than last year, they kept adding to the point that right now I have 63 drawings to do, and if I keep adding more and more, this will be a never ending story.

Another problem is that, I keep giving illusions month by month to people who are supporting me here on Patreon (Thank you for that!) that they will receive a drawing as reward, and many of you think that I will work on them immediately or at least that same month, but I end up making you wait many months for that to happen. I notice that when I receive answers when I tell that this month they will receive a new reward "Oh great, because in two weeks is my [special person]'s birthday" and I just think "Oh no! It won't be on time!" and I know I have a weak heart and I put their reward with a deadline preference to please them, but there is a point I can't please everyone and that makes me sad.

So... What are you thinking to do, Paco?

I'm gonna do something that I really hope it works, if you have a better idea, please tell me, I'm open for ideas:

I won't take any more reward to my queue, not even commissions, until the point I clear completely this current queue, I will work as fast as possible but putting the deserved love to each piece.

But I WON'T pause the rewards! Your months supporting me will still count!! It is supposed that this new plan would work very well if I had a clear queue! So when I finally clear all my queue, I will check who needed rewards from all the months I was working on clearing it. If I complete this goal in 3 months, that would mean I would be taking around 30 new drawing rewards when I had cleared my queue, which I can work on the same month or just a month after, instead of giving you illusions that I will have a drawing but making you wait 6 months or more (sometimes even a year).

I really hope this works, and I hope you all understand why I'm doing this. As I said, I'm not pausing rewards nor changing them, I will just be taking them when I finally clear my queue but giving every one of you your deserved rewards!!

The one that I will still taking month by month, because I think it is very fair to do it, are the monthly Bamboos, so it is just one drawing that I will be adding month by month to my queue instead of 10. Or you can ask me directly to me so I can explain you better. Everyone who is supporting me with $8 or more have the chance to get it, and you can change it for a full color illustration, stickers or whatever you want.

Everyone who is in the current queue, you are definitely there and I will work (hopefully soon) on your picture, also if I had told you that you have a reward but you didn't tell me what you want, you can still tell me and I can still add you to my queue, but of course it will take some months to be ready. I'm doing all these decisions for many reasons:

• -To finally be able to clear my queue, that it was one of my year's resolutions that I really want to fulfill before the year ends.
• -Because every time I think in a new cool project, or that I want to start my new chapter of my comic, I think "Oh but I need to clear this queue", and it seems to never end.
• -To avoid promise a drawing and having it ready many months later, I really want to promise a drawing that I can actually have ready the same month it is requested, if it is the same week that would be even better.
