Thank you so much for this reaction! The massacre that happens at Lotus Pier is one of the saddest parts of this show for me. It highlights how far the Wen clan is willing to go and also how powerful they are. So Jiang Cheng is the youngest of the 3 siblings (Yanli is the oldest and Wei Wuxian is the middle child), and he can be a bit hot-headed at times, it's one of his character flaws. I'm glad you're enjoying the show so far!
