wtFock Season 3 Episode 5 UN-CUT REACTION!

this ending broke my fucking heart.

Comments

I love how this version portrays Robbe's fragile emotional state. In a way, both Robbe and Sander have mental health issues though Robbe's is not nearly as serious as Sander's. Robbe is so emotionally volatile from the beginning. I also like the story Sander shared about his family traditions with croques. Sander seems to have a very healthy family life in comparison to Robbe's family life. But most of all I really love Robbe's devotion to his mother. In the other versions, I was always so upset with how the Isak characters seemed to abandon their mothers because of her mental illness.

I think while a few still hate it, a much larger number of people who did before have come around on the season since it ended, including those who were pretty critical during. I think watching it all at once instead of when it aired clip to clip made it easier for a lot of people. And now I see so many new people watching and loving it and so many who have said it’s their favorite remake (myself included)! I definitely understood why seeing things like a gay bashing and Robbe’s deep internalized homophobia was hard to watch for a lot of people. It hurts to see, you know? But it’s also a reality that a lot of people deal with, and I enjoyed seeing a remake that had enough guts to make a change like that. It made the story really heartbreaking at times, but also made where a Robbe is now compared to where he was then feel all the more earned. Plus sobbe is just 😭

Hi! Great reaction as always! I have watched your youtube reactions for years , so finally decided why not to join patron. I feel you have very similar view on things as I do including this series as well. Many ppl hated on this season for how raw it was, but I loved this change so much. I feel it so real cause of the changes that were made. I am a strait woman, but I have so many gay friends and know what some of them go or went through. I also loved the chemistry of these 2 boys as well as their acting. Nora is so great here and wait to see how these relationships gonna be unfold))) This series also brings me back to the original with some scenes)) It is my most favorite one after the OG, though I loved Druck a lot too))) the 2nd season of Wtfock I loved even more that the OG)) Also if you liked these five episodes , you gonna love the other 5 even more, just wait for the scene at the hotel. Cant wait for your reaction on it))) As forJens ...... well just wait and see, he is not that bad after all unlike someone else(((( I wanna wish you to get better soon. I also have autoimmune disease and it is never cured till the end, it comes back from time to time, so I get how tiring and exosting it could get. Just try to find some positive sides of this, at least there are worse diseases around the world and lets hope the shots help you to feel better to enjoy the life! Your reactions are great, good luck with everything and try to stay healthy.

The more I’ve rewatched wtfock, the more I’ve actually grown to like Jens. I felt so terrible for what Robbe was going through that it made Jens seem like a dick, but on rewatch, he really does try to be there for Robbe and be a good friend, it’s just not always well received or the best advice. Like when he talks with Robbe about having sex with Noor. The advice he gives is not bad advice, and he is being super supportive, he just doesn’t know what’s actually going on with Robbe. It’s the right advice for the wrong situation.

I understand not liking him, but saying that Jens (and the other boys for that matter) has been portrayed as a “raging homophobe” is a reach - they’ve been shown to be ignorant and dumb but they’ve never been outright hateful or aggressive. Not that it makes the use of the language okay, but we have primarily seen the boy squad use that language towards each other (a supposedly “straight” friend group) whereas Robbe, who Jens clearly thinks more highly of than the other two boys, is being blatantly rude/judgemental about a stranger in a way that is pretty out of character for him. Jens’ comment is as much a defence of the the other guy as it is expressing surprise at the fact that Robbe is making the comment

I disagree. All the friends are really immature and even ignorant on certain things, but Jens a homophobe? I don’t think so. I like that we see the characters make mistakes and not be perfect. That’s realistic imo and different from the other remakes.

I agree. While it might have made it easier for her to understand, he doesn't owe it to anyone to come out, and I respect the hell out of the fact that he properly broke up with her. I understand why she's sad and hurt, but she really has no place being angry at him. he tried to be respectful and do the right thing.

I hate Jens... the writers built him and his friends up since S1 to be raging homophobes and jerks and now when Jens tries to deliver some of Jonas' lines it is NOT convincing. when they were at the dance recital and Jens makes the "why are you commenting on him being gay?" ..... where does that even come from? the way they've built him up, there's no way he'd defend the guy.

I don’t at all blame Robbe for not coming out to Noor. I respect the hell out of him for ending it once he finally came to terms with being gay. But he wasn’t ready to come out to others yet. He had only just fully realized it himself.

Bel Pop

I also felt terrible for Noor, but I don’t agree that Robbe should’ve told her. He’s under no obligation to come out to anyone for any reason, even if he’s breaking up with them. He’s not even comfortable with himself yet, and telling Noor to make her feel better, as opposed to genuinely wanting to, probably wouldn’t help with that. I know how hard not knowing is, but when the reason is something as potentially life changing as coming out, I really feel that sometimes that’s just how it has to be. People need to be able to come out in their own time for their own reasons, and it should really have nothing to do with anyone else’s feelings. I apologize if this potentially came off as rude, please know that that is not my intention, this is just a subject I am deeply passionate about.

I'm so happy you posted this. It was great!! The Britt/Sander relationship is so different than the Even/Sonya one and it is interesting to see how it plays out. I'm happy you are enjoying all the changes they made because I loved them but I know some people hated them. More importantly, I hope you get better soon!!!
