Noor is the best Emma by far. She has an actual personality and you can see why Robbe likes her. He just can’t feel *that way* about her bc he’s gay. The boy squad is pretty rough until late in the season but they do come around. I actually kind of like the change because it fits with the overall theme of homophobia that this season hits on. Also, the flat share dynamic is the best of any Isak season. The other interesting thing about changing things up and making Robbe the most isolated of any Isak is that sobbe genuinely feels not only like soulmates and lovers, but also BEST FRIENDS. There is a playfulness to their relationship and they feel like they like each other just as much as they love each other.

2020-06-11 16:09:44 +0000 UTCI agree. I love Senne so much. I'm glad they explore his character more and what he feels about things. Zoe too! Milan is amazing as always. I feel like Senne is more of the Dad though & Milan the big brother lol

2020-06-06 04:17:34 +0000 UTCwatching Senne and Zoe also and Senne being healthy about his sexuality. Senne is not at all homophobic, he's not uncomfortable with Milan and his boyfriend, he lets MIlan feed him whipped cream and isn't upset when Milan climbs in bed with him I think he's a good example for Robbe of how straight guys are SUPPOSED to be and after spending so much time with his friends and their homophobic jokes and obsession with sex. Zoe is a mom for him, Milan is a dad and Senne is a good big brother.

2020-06-06 04:08:10 +0000 UTCThe choice they made to make Noor a genuinely fun and (broadly speaking) nice character I think was an excellent one because you can genuinely see (thanks to Willem's amazing acting) Robbe thinking "God, she is really cool and she gets on with my friends and I do enjoy spending time with her, but I just can't *like* her like that" and it's heartbreaking to watch because you just know that Noor is going to get hurt in all of this, all the while Robbe is hurting because he's trying to force himself to feel and be a certain way that he just can't be. I definitely think it's worth trying to get to know Noor because she is not (in my mind at least) in any way similar to the other Emma's beyond basic story function. Also, again, Bel!Even was actually in this episode but, as in ep 1, it is just the merest glance but enough to be intriguing if you notice him in this and the last ep. Great reaction! Can't wait for episode 3 (it really is a doozy!!)
2020-06-06 02:28:35 +0000 UTCYour reaction to the boy squad cracks me up because most of us felt the same way. We will see how you feel by the end of the season though lol. I love Zoe, Senne, Milan and Robbe living together. They all care for one another and it makes for some great dynamics. Robbe looking at Milan and seeing him be open about being gay is making him curious I think about how he feels. Can't wait for the next episode!
