Supernatural Season 5 Episode 16 UN-CUT REACTION!

SAM AND DEAN STRAIGHT UP DIE SO MUCHHH HOW

Comments

Jared has said before that he believed that Zachariah had manipulated Sam’s memories - or rather, manipulated WHICH of Sam’s memories would show up - in order to drive more of a wedge between the boys. My head canon has always been that Sam got the amulet and put it away some place. Just my opinion, but I think Sam wouldn’t have just left it. ♥️

Just to answer one of your questions. Yes, that is Samantha Smith. She's the same actor who has always played that oldest version of Mary. The only other person to play the role is Amy Gumenick who played the 20 year old version in the time travel episodes.

I think they spent too much time justifying Dean's perspective and too little on the fact Sam largely experienced negative things in the family. Both from his father and Dean, especially back when Dean tried so hard to emulate and kowtow to the man. And every single memory Sam had was derided or criticized even though there must be hundreds if not thousands. Meanwhile, Sam is acknowledging things about Dean he never truly understood before. I get Dean has abandonment issues but damnnnn. So unfair. And that endinggg. The Samulettt. Cas giving up on God. Dean giving up on Sam. Very pointedly in his face. Oh and canon soulmates! That part always kills my heart. They're one of those rare cases Ash spoke about tangentially for no other reason than to drive that point home. Also, also, is it just me or is Pamela crazy suspicious? I sometimes wonder about her... though honestly, she was an unusual person even when she was alive pft. Last thing! Joshua. I love the actor and the character and the whole scene... -- I do kinda wonder why Castiel has never mentioned to the boys this isn't their first time running around Heaven since he was so very involved in their story. Anyway, awesome episode! The music, drama, everything. <3

Far too many times, this show goes out of its way to try to make Sam look like the horrible brother and son, and Dean appear like he's the perfect brother and son. While I understand that brothers and family don't always get along, this episode bothers me a little because the writers and creators couldn't show even one good family memory for Sam, and it shows Dean giving up on Sam by throwing away the necklace Sam gave to him. I hated this about this episode. I did like the rest of of it though.

YAYYYY! One of my all-time favorite episodes of the series! This one is such a treat. It's not my number one fave (that one isn't until season 6), but it's worth the wait! ;) Also okay, but when Zachariah (he's *THE WOOOOOORRRST!*) comes on screen, I flipped the bird at the screen at the exact same moment lmao And the scene at the end with Dean, Cas and Sam just breaks my heart - for all of them, for every conceivable reason. I just want to give them all a hug ;v;
