Well, here it is. Map11's first sketch. That bit of color is just there to get an idea, I won't color the whole thing because I find it too spoiler-ish in case you're wondering.
For this episode I aim to spend A LOT more time in the concept phase of the map. This is pretty much the work I've done today, and it's the starting part of the map. Once I have the entire sketch up, I want to do a sort of breakdown that explains why this took so long and points out some of the environmental guidelines I worked with.
I'm not planning to stray off too far from my "authentic + no handholding level design" policy, but I feel like a degree of authenticity and realism should be traded in order to create a stronger map flow and prevent players from getting stuck TOO often.
