The Morning Rant #9: Thoughts On My Furry Interview

This morning I reflect on my interview with a furry.

Comments

Really insightful Joey. Thank you.

truck6867@rocketmail.com

When you do it along the lines of Barney or the Banana Splits as a way to entertain children as part of an Adventure comedy show, or a Sporting Mascot or even once during a Town Parade to advertise Dog Food, then it’s acceptable. Doing because of a split personality should be medically diagnosed in a negative light.

Fred Rogers

OH DEFINITELY IS...

Sylvia La Chiva

It's sad to think about when you analyze that deep into this lifestyle. These are real people with feelings. It probably is an escape from reality for these people. However, it seems like they feel love, acceptance, and meaning amongst themselves.

JohnL

My kids and I took our dogs for a walk nearby the nature preserve by our home, and ran into a furry convention in the woods. 😂 I was scared at first but they were nice. I like how you criticize Joey, because you are a caring person. 🫶🏼 wish everyone could see that in you.

Jen Anderson

They're creative with their costumes and artwork. There is a small portion of people in the Furry community that are into degrading stuff that most Furries don't care for at all.

CLB91

No the hate to them and the people that dress like kids have it all equal. They're all werid

Princesslaila flower

Unless it's for work, it's all about sexual perversion.

Shawn Stephen Deurcoff

They make me feel hot just looking at them. And not hot sexy, but like overheating. I can't even wear a winter hat indoors without losing my shit from the heat. 10 minutes in one of those things and I'd be having a panic attack and clawing at my costume to breath. I felt like that wearing a mask, never mind a woolly dog head.

Sam Squanch

Sorry they may not all be bad people but they are clearly disturbed.

joe lynott

You sound like you shouldn’t have kids

Angry dweller

At least the club kids (party monster) one of my #1 favorite movies has some content behind it.

Loretta Roche

Your furry interview was the point where I started to consider becoming a Patreon of yours. How you gave that person a chance to express their beliefs and talk and talk about their perspective. I think you have strong opinions and I do not always agree with them, but you showed you can be open to other opinions and underlying is a will to make life better for everyone. I respect that and I feel it was a good decision supporting you. Keep it up.

Christoph Gedamke

I really like how you keep beeing authentic, even if these stuff is not comfortable for you.

Očami Čarodejnice

Cheers Ryan

Joseph P Borelli Jr

I felt a bit of hesitation in your voice when speaking but I think you hit it right on the head. It may hurt for furries to hear but you are not saying they are bad people. Showing yourself to the world is necessary sometimes in order to face it head on and become who you would like to be. Just like drugs, alcohol, social media and all manner off other things, when overused, it's just another crutch to use until you eventually fall. Right on Joey.

orfnqoewfoq

I only know how to be me!

Joseph P Borelli Jr

You can be a harsh critic, so as I’m listening, your compassion takes me off guard. I like how you try to understand why people do what they do. You concluded your “rant” with what sounded like a genuine “I love you.” That was very sweet. I hope you’ll continue to (in your words) “be who you are, and do what you do.”

Amy

That home schooled kid will become one of those.

RhymeHead

Well that depends...if you were my child for instance, I would probably encourage them to run into oncoming traffic. However, if my child weren't a twat, I'd stop them.

Bonnie Melinda

Are you against Joey or the furry, I'm confused

Tri Force Tony

So tell me Bonnie… what if your kid (presuming you have kids, I mean what business do you have giving parenting advice if you don’t) decided to run out in traffic?? Would you stop your child or indulge his fantasies that’s he’s a super hero and won’t be crushed by oncoming traffic?! Lol.

Robin Johns

Wow. And victim shaming too? You obviously are part of the problem. My daughter was almost trafficked by your people. The leftist woke mob who's only thought process consists of anything Sexual and children being in the same sentence. You came here to try and Troll us, but we see right through you. Your camp is falling and you will never touch our children again. We are onto you. You can come back with any statement you wish, but just know that anyone who reads this sees through you. You messed up by victim shaming and defending pedophiles. MAPs are NOT valid. Never will be. Your camp can keep trying to infiltrate society but there are less of you sickos than there are of us who will stand up against you. You failed. You lost. Now rot.

The Gothian Lolette

How sad for me? You’re a survivor of being trafficked and your daughter was almost trafficked…how sad for you and your family that you keep getting in these situations.

Bonnie Melinda

Apparently you don't know much about what's going on in schools and social media. I'm huge followers of Blaire White, Buck Angel and Arielle Scarcella. Maybe you should educate yourself further before trying to talk to someone who literally is a survivor of sex trafficking and has done super deep dives into this for many years. I doubt you even know anything about MAPs, Epstein or what's going on in Hollywood either. How sad for you. Btw, I'm passionate about this because I am a survivor and the disgusting peds who infiltrated the LGBT community tried to traffic my 14 year old daughter. So sit down.

The Gothian Lolette

What the hell...okay there's a lot to unpack here 1. I'm not sure why you're putting quotations around transgender but frankly there's nothing for me to condone. I couldn't care less if someone identifies with and transitions into the opposite gender if it makes them happy. I don't have the time to be concerned that Sally now wants to be referred to as Sal and honestly you'd have to be pretty bored to give a shit. 2. I'm not going to discuss masturbation with someone who can't even spell it. 3. A kid having anal sex is the last thing on my mind, let alone the inappropriate and horrific scenario that a teacher would ask them if it hurts...I mean seriously what the f*ck? This is coming from *your* head...the transgender community has nothing to do with MAP and if I had a child I would feel safer leaving them alone with someone who's transitioned over you any day. Of all the trans people I've known, none of them have ever said anything so disgusting. 4. Do you realize that the LGBTQ community is at high risk for *being* trafficked because of bias discrimination and isolation? 5. If you really think hateful bigotry is what JBT represents, clearly you haven't been paying attention. If anything Joey highlights the straight people who misrepresent LGBTQ like Christina Aguilara wearing a strap on at a concert for unnecessary shock value or people like Demi Lovato who change their pronouns and hassle us to accomodate for no reason other than to get attention and be trendy. Don't get it twisted.

Bonnie Melinda

@bonnie Melinda So you are condoning "transgender" children then? You ok with kids at drag shows? You ok with their teachers teaching them about masterbation and asking them if anal sex hurts? Are you also ok with "MAP" pride and adults kidnapping children into "glitter family" adults? Are you ok with these kids be sex trafficked at these conventions? Please tell me you are not so naive that you would put out this statement on JBT without deep diving into it?

The Gothian Lolette

Wait, so you believe in kids developing their own sense of self and self esteem without bullying, but if "little Johnny" wants to wear a dress, you suggest telling him he can't because it's for girls? What happened to not caring what other people think? What if he's happier wearing dresses? Maybe he'll even grow out of it on his own. Or maybe not because perhaps little Johnny is actually gay...but it'll be harder for him to navigate and love himself with his insecure parents shaming him and the next thing you know little Johnny wants to hide behind a furry costume because his mother didn't accept him for who he is. I nanny a toddler and one day he found one of this moms headbands and was just having fun wearing it and she takes it off him and says "no thats for girls" and the look on his face was so sad and confused and she didn't even notice. It's like, just let him wear the fucking headband. You're the bullies...

Bonnie Melinda

I have three boys, all were homeschooled at one point. My oldest only through 4 years of high school, my middle - well it was only a few years in elementary and we were sabotaged by my ex and his fam - so he's now in school, and my youngest (10) has been homeschooled his entire life. I truly believe not sending your kids to school allows them to develop their sense of self and self-esteem, without negative influences and bullying, it lets them not care what other people think, among many other benefits. My middle son, by far, has the most misdirected sense of himself and the world (I'm sure a large part of that is because he's a child of divorce) and I think school and the people he's around and social media all play a large part in that. These are all things over which I have no control, because he's in school and because he has "two homes". I also totally agree with you about correcting this behavior, a large part of where we're at with this "I can be anything I want to be - no matter how absurd or impossible" is parents indulging their kids' every whim. Sometimes you need to be like, no, little Johnny, you're a boy and you can't wear a dress, because dresses are for girls. I don't care what the diversity and inclusivity czar at your school says.

Amanda-Magdalena

I think insecurity plays a part for some maybe most but it also looks kinda similar to an anime convention and people cosplaying, for some of them it might not be that deep they just think it's fun. Good on you for finding one to talk to it was interesting

Scгamыу

Absolutely agree. As a mother who has raised 2 genuinely good, honourable young men I believe that the most important stage of development starts younger than 14. As a parent if your kid starts expressing signs of this kind of behaviour you have failed…not to say you shouldn’t try and correct things..,you should but I do blame poor parenting. I think we ought to get back to old fashioned values and at this point homeschooling is a solid start!! Great video! 💯

Robin Johns

Tuesday. Ugh

Joseph P Borelli Jr

Came here to say this. Love all your content Joey but we need some more hype house even if you can only handle one more episode lol

J P

Good shit bro

Rad Racket

Another hype house review, you're a good man joey. You watch it so we don't have to.

Mike

#1 watching Furries in Florida almost makes me hotter. Like I can't imagine anyone wearing a Furry outfit here in 98 F degree weather. #2 I find this meaningless & boring as hell. It's almost an insult to human intelligence ti watch Furries for more than 15 seconds. #3 Perhaps those Furries should make a movie or something that I won't watch bc as I said - more than 15 seconds & I'm out. #4 Keep small children & pets away from Furries as the pedo population could be even more than found in the Boy Scout Troop leaders. #5 Apologies to non-pedo Furries.

Kat Evangeline

Love this video! Great and inspiring words there, Joey!!

Kaye

I say it's a good thing they have a safe space because what they are doing is wearing a temporary costume. They don't need life altering surgery to fit in with the group.
