ANNOUCEMENT and Update!

I'm poking my head out from underneath this rock to share some good news!

(Tomorrow) NEW PATREON-ONLY CLASS 

I've designed a new 3-week course for you all here to participate in. I learned a lot during the last Modal Mixture Masterclass on how to pace and organize these sorts of things and I'm going to apply that knowledge for this smaller course on Lament Bass. It's a topic I've never discussed on the Signals channel but I plan on doing so later this year, and I think I can include some of your submissions as part of the final lesson!

The course is 3 weeks long and will be posted every Monday. I'll teach the course live and answer questions afterwards, but you aren't required to attend the live session to participate. Each week will have a small assignment (music submission) that I'll review prior to the following week's lesson. 

WHO IT'S FOR: Beginner and Intermediate composers looking to expand their toolbox and improve their songwriting skills in all genres. 

PREREQUISITES NEEDED: Knowledge of the major scale its diatonic triads.

The first lesson begins TOMORROW NIGHT (March 31) at 730PM CT. I'd love to see you there live if you can make it, but if not, please post any feedback or questions in the Patreon thread where I post the video!.

I'm phasing out my name-your-own-price rhythm guitar course and replacing it with an updated premium version that features improved PDFs, better layout on-screen, and an actual physical workbook. If you've purchased my rhythm course, you'll automatically get access to the new updated lessons and should receive an email when that happens. All patreon supporters will get a discount on the physical workbook as well, which will cost roughly $25 regularly. 

If you haven't purchased my rhythm course yet, I advise you get it now for any price before it gets phased out! If you have already bought it, you'll keep your access, so don't worry :)

Feedback shows that the course was bigger than it needed to be for most students, so I've broken it into two phases. Phase Two should be complete this summer and will also include a workbook, but April 12th's release will only feature Level 1. 

(April 12) NEW FREE COURSE - MASTERING BARRE CHORDS

For my triumphant return to youtube, I've created an entirely free, comprehensive 10 week course on mastering barre chords on guitar. This is the perfect program for anyone new to the instrument, or wanting to start. It'll also assist many of you who already play but are struggling to get your barre chords clean.

The course is organized online like my other courses with 10 embedded video lessons, many examples + exercises, explanatory text, and a printable PDF. Later this year I'll format it into a physical book as well, but the online portion is nearly complete. The entire thing will be posted on YouTube as a giant lesson as well, but it'll be much easier to navigate and utilize on my site. 

AFTER THAT

I'll be uploading regular Signals Music Studio content on the main channel until I get distracted with another big project. I have a laundry list of YouTube videos that I really want to make: some chord progression analysis stuff, an exploration of melodic minor modes, a demonstration of metric modulation, etc.. You can expect they'll be of the same quality that you expect, and I'm STILL not doing sponsorships or mid-roll ad breaks, thanks to you all 🙂
