I actually didn't have specifically Eastern Orthodox Icon style in mind when illustrating this but wanted to give Daeron a renaissance halo (renaissance art was a huge inspiration and i'm sure that coincides with some Eastern Orthodox Iconography?) but I think that your interpretation of this piece is much better than mine and I love the idea of him being deified as the Warrior!!

2020-11-04 00:51:43 +0000 UTCStunning! Looking at this piece, all the gold filigree-esque style reminds me of Eastern Orthodox Iconography Art , specifically of figures granted sainthood. It also looks as though rays of sunlight are pouring off of Daeron, and that he has a halo (also very Eastern Orthodox Saint like). I was wondering if you intentionally drew this piece with the Eastern Orthodox Icon style in mind as an inspiration? (That would be really cool if you did!) With sainthood iconography on the mind, I then imagine that this was a piece of Daeron that was created after his death, with the intent of deifying him. Styling him as the Warrior come to life. Just a fantastic piece!
