Patreon changes for the foreseeable future!

Hey everyone!

I hope that the rest of you are staying safe and isolated during the pandemic. While some things in my life have stayed the same a lot of things have also changed.

My day job is taking care of my mom, who is immunocompromised. My mom is in good health and she’s hopefully going to stay that way, but with the threat of the pandemic, making sure my mom is isolated and taken care of has become a much bigger task than it was before. I haven’t had as much time to illustrate as I usually do, or even keep up with friends on social media like I normally would. So I’ve decided to make some changes here so I don’t overwhelm myself with too much while this crisis continues.

I planned a few months ago to start doing illustration studies to improve my art. With everything going on right now I don’t feel like I’ll be able to focus or concentrate on challenging myself as much as I would like. So I won’t be taking on this project for now. I also feel like I haven’t been able to maintain a steady flow with suggested illustrations on Patreon as much as I would like, so I will no longer be offering illustration suggestions as a patron benefit for my Hand of the Queen patrons.

My Hand of the Queen patrons will still be able to suggest ideas for NSFW illustrations, because I haven’t had trouble keeping up with these illustrations and I feel like they’ve been the most successful component of my page. I will also still be hosting an illustration title contest each month, and giving a portrait prize to the winner. This way I will still be doing regular illustrations for this page, and I will also still be uploading sketches and WIP photos of my process!

I would like to thank everyone who has managed to stick out every disaster that has disrupted my productivity, because there have been several of them since I started this page just one year ago 😂 I hope that containment of the virus comes soon, but in the meantime I hope I can still bring some small joy to everyone with my work! I am so grateful to have the support of you all during this time when everything is so uncertain.
