I was posting some Lens (which is basically the Patreon version of a Snap or instagram story if you didn’t know about it!) and while I was doodling I started this sketch of everyone’s favorite tyrant.

A couple weeks back I watched that really cheesy King Arthur movie w Clive Owen, and one of the redeeming qualities I found about it was the costume design for Arthur and his knights. Their armor/outfits combined a lot of medieval and ancient Roman aesthetics and I thought “that’s how I imagine the fashion of the Conquest-Maegor’s reign!!”

Maegor with that gladiator skirt is something I’ve been wanting to create for a while. And also I’ve been wanting to draw him with a luxurious cloak flowing behind him. And while I was creating the drawing I thought it would be really interesting to make the background Balerion’s face/eye very up close to show how big he was.

Hopefully I finish this sometime soon, I really love how the composition is turning out!!
