could share the link for the orange wire and its awg/description? Also is there an DYI alternative for QuickBurst. Could you please share the circuit for the lunch controller?

Why do you leave the starter on after ignition? It seems like you were intentionally doing it because you would wait for the rocket to burn out before turning it off. Doesn't the starter only need to be on for a fraction of a second?

I was wondering the same thing. Right now, it seems entirely possible to have a scenario where you go from nothing to rocket fired in a split second. If somebody was holding the button down, then turned the key to 'go', wouldn't that fire before the audible part really registered in your brain?

I really love this rocket series. I am sure I probably won't replicate it soon. But it's beautiful work.
One note on safety: What about swapping the key for an OFF-ON-START type key? Such that even when the battery is connected, the key has to be inserted and turned to get to green light, and then manually turned and held with one hand to enable to Big Red Button. This would eliminate the (however unlikely) scenario where the Button was energized and someone wasn't standing right there.
