Blackfyre Concepts
Added 2019-08-01 21:34:01 +0000 UTCI figured since I was drawing Daemon B with this sword, why not do a full concept of both the front side and backside to use as reference for future drawings? This is partially inspired by the official design done by Velvet Engine for TWOIAF but I put my own twist on it. Mine looks a little flashy in comparison to the official design but I was so eager to give the pommel that extra dragon's head!

Hi there! I don't take requests because of time constraints, but I have a feature for my top tier patrons where they can suggest a drawing, and I will add it to my illustration polls so all of my other patrons can vote for it. If there is an opening in that top tier at any point you are welcome to join it and use some of these request ideas for suggestions! It's currently full right now but openings usually come about the end of the month! Also I think that would be very exciting if Aegon/Young Griff obtains Blackfyre, I had similar thoughts about that myself! I hope it and Dark Sister both make reappearances before the story ends. Because if so I would REALLY like to see your take on: 1) The Young Dragon/ 2) Maegor in the Trial of Seven/ 3) Daemon Blackfyre vs Gwayne Corbray/ 4) Barristan the Bold vs Maelys the Monstrous. Awesome take on Blackfyre here, by the way, I wish it had made an appearance in the show. As for the books, I'm secretly hoping Aegon VI Targaryen turns out to be the genuine article and the Golden Company tell him where the sword is somewhere along the way. I mean, Bittersteel was the last known person to wield it and he founded them, so it would make sense if they knew where it was. Again, great work!

2019-08-01 22:09:03 +0000 UTCMy intention was for the dragons head to be 3D, I didn't make a side shot because this was supposed to be just a quick little detour from my drawing of Daemon Blackfyre and it turned into a 3 hour project, haha. I might draw the side angle someday!

Would be curious to see it from the side, though, want to see if that pommel is still more or less flush with the grip or if the dragon's head is 3D.
