Thoughts about sketches
Added 2019-07-30 15:22:22 +0000 UTCI just realized that I’ve uploaded a few sketches on Patreon that I started months ago that I may never end up finishing, because I keep coming up with more ideas and making new sketches 😂 it’s not impossible for me to finish them but sometimes when I leave an idea alone for long enough I will abandon it. However I am very happy that I made this patreon and I am able to share these sketches with all of you because I have had a cache of them for years that I’ve never really felt comfortable posting to any of my art blogs.
So sometimes if I post something it might end up just being a study that I never take to the next level to make it an illustration, my recent sketch of Arianne Martell is going to be just that, and I have no plans to color or “finish” it.
I don’t want to say that I won’t finish all of the ones I have posted, more like I’m waiting for a day when my inspiration is very low and I cannot draw anything new so I can go back to them and revitalize them. I made a sketch of Bloodraven in July 2018 and didn’t finish the illustration until March 2019, so sometimes it just takes me a long time to come back to a certain concept.
I just wanted to clear that up if it ever got confusing or if you were waiting for a certain sketch to be finished sometime soon (I’ve also been extremely busy so that’s another reason I haven’t been able to work as much). However if there is a drawing that enough of you would like to see finished feel free to let me know! If there is enough interest in a sketch I’ve already done, it may motivate me to finish it faster!
