How I painted the best villain ever! ALL THE STEPS

Strikingly beautiful work Marco Listening to you explain what you're doing and why, then watching you work on and develop each area is such a real learning experience. But then again it's watching the composition develop as a whole, seeing the scale armour against that gorgeous cloak. Watching the warm coloured light glazed onto all those very differently hued and differently reflective areas, watching it touch each one according to it's own nature so as to truly enhance it's own identity, rather than blanding and merging all of them together as you might think it would be doing. That's the real revelation, the awesome potential I take from this vid. I need to be assessing and thinking about light and texture every moment that my brush is moving. The initial reverse on the cloak colour seems like the key for it but that cloak just develops and develops and develops till it's a stunning study in itself. Multitasking, always thinking, genius and brushmaster with a talent for explaining sophistication as if it's simple, conveying it, easing it into my brain. I'd love to see more of those brushstrokes, watch more of the accomplishment, more of the work that that big art brain is directing. Youtube is not an unedited medium, it doesn't work for that, but the more I see you work at effects, the more I learn to do it. this one would be a natural for a three hour less bulletpointed tutorial. You're an artistic inspiration and theory teacher, and a practical down to earth, here's how you make it happen tutor combined. Genius mate!

I just watched it, great video and love what you did with this mini. Really appreciate the tips on secondary light sources. Agreed that Skeletor is one of the greatest up there with Mumm-Ra the Everliving.
