On January of the past year, I began redacting the first design guidelines and goals of Unholy Arts. A few months earlier, I had been shuffling different ideas for an adult game that focused on the simulation and development of Non Player Characters over long periods of time. The initial idea involved only two characters: the PC and a NPC that decided to spice their life as roommates by competing in different sexual games, where the victor would get to top the loser. Eventually, I decided to keep some gameplay concepts but reinvent the whole setting, and soon later I started to work on the demo of Unholy Arts, and 30.000 lines of code and 10.000 lines of narration (and some more in-line scripting) later, here we are.
I've uploaded some old design documents in the previous post for all interested patrons to give it a look, but there are more news today.
Second Patreon goal reached
While the numbers are still going up and down, the Patreon's second goal was surpassed during January, so I'll consider it as good as completed! I've resumed contact with Shirarin to get more character portraits ready. The first one will be Drishtya's, and the following ones will belong to different characters that will start appearing after version 0.3.
Passion Temple's Map
New players usually get lost navigating the Passion Temple map, so it was a recurrent request to get a map for the game. Despite it being a reward for the third Patreon goal, I decided it was ok to get the first area's art ready a bit earlier. Starting on version 0.2.6, the Passion Temple's rooms will have icons, which will be assembled to form a map of the area. Check out the attached preview screen.
The icons were drawn by 2D!PIXX, and may hopefully draw more art for the game in the future if everything goes smoothly.
Thanks to all supporters
I didn't want to finish this post without thanking all the supporters of the game. Everyone's help is appreciated, be it the sacrifice of regular financial support or something as humble as rating or recommending the game in different pages. Thank you for making Unholy Arts possible!
