Opinion? ovo

So I'm trying to decide... which of these words represents a small part of a larger design, and which one more suitably describes the design as a whole including its smaller parts~

Sigil
Glyph
Rune

Right now I'm kinda leaning glyph for the individual parts, and sigil for the whole.... But what do you guys think? o0o

So these do have specific contexts! Rune = Letter, Glyph = Letter, Sigil = Name or Sentence. To make a Sigil, you might picture "I WANT A LOT OF MONEY" and then focus on IWALOM, and then WLM, and then abstract the symbols until you made something "magicky" enough to work. It also works for entity names, like, GABRIEL would be, GBRL and then you'd simplify/abstract/arrange those letters.

I find this hard because they all technically mean the whole finished part in typography, occultism, etc. If you're looking for suggestions for other words that might suit, we call the small individual parts of kanji characters "radicals". If you're set on only using from the words above, glyph seems the least firmly set in my mind so would cause the least confusion (imo) when referring to smaller parts of a whole design.
