2018-02-20 23:37:45 +0000 UTCSometimes I get this mental picture of you as a lovely cloisonné clock -- all intricate enamel and gold and filled with meticulously crafted tiny, shiny gears, all ticking along together and meshing in wonderfully intricate, mysterious ways. And deep inside this clock is a spring, wound not TOO tightly, but constantly in tension, keeping all the amazing machinery going. Every now and then, I think it's a good idea to let the clock wind down so the tension eases. Add maybe a little light, smooth lubrication to the parts that get the most wear, and give it a brief rest. We'll all be here when the time is right to put the wheels back in motion. (Wait -- don't C & O have a clock on their mantel? A-ha!)
