PATREON EXCLUSIVE (Full Video): What happens to your mind if someone calls you sexist PLUS the story of my biggest hater

Comments

Wow, what a story. It was mentioned she went from one toxic relationship to another. When you grow up around toxic people then that's normal, just like for a cat growing up around humans, being picked up is normal. It's normal to treat and be treated awfully. One of the things I do often with my kids, when we/they meet new people I discuss with them what that person did/said and try to extrapolate the mindset behind it. They become really sharp and fast in figuring people out. People talk about survival skills in terms of being able to find water and start a fire; I will say being able to judge people quickly may well be the most important survival skill of all. Getting involved with the right/wrong people can seriously help or hurt you.

Shame on you Alexander for biting the hook. LOL

Are we all second handers at first? Don’t we all take on certain beliefs because they are the beliefs of others; because they sound good and compelling. But then we are challenged. We either stick to our guns and hunker down, or we ‘ do the work,’ investigate, research, and form our own opinions. Then we are no longer a second hander. I think this is how many people approach politics. They believe in what is popular or acceptable in the culture in which they live. When they are challenged, they either demonize the other side, or they break out of being a second hander.

Eric Linden

Happy unity day 🍻

Peter

Oof but true Btw what jo said. Wb

Peter

Yeah speaking out about actually fairness and equality is hella risky these days You get labled so quick and id rather not be mobbed. So its nice when ppl speak out about it

Peter

@Eric Linden - Then, if their message has exceeded their expiry date, he should remake them with his evolved understanding.

Joseph Omega

@Joseph - I agree. And I don't think it was in response to the red pill thing, as lots of that is still up on YouTube. Maybe the early Patreon stuff wasn't well edited or high quality, but your guess is as good as mine.

Eric Linden

@Eric Linden - Were his deletions in response to the whole "red pill" misunderstand fiasco he talked about? And yes, I do THINK I understand the SUBTLE differences in the relationship phases he speaks about in the two videos, but it is something that he needed to make a little more explicit.

Joseph Omega

@Joseph - Although I do believe that AG's views have evolved on some things, I don't find these two contradictory. One is talking about a woman immediately being totally into you, which he sees as bad. The other is more about a point slightly further into the relationship, where she should have you raised slightly up on a pedestal. Things equal out somewhat later, but if you put her on that pedestal, things can go south. As for not finding that earlier video, AG deleted a lot of his early Patreon content pre 2020. I wish he hadn't.

Eric Linden

@Eric Linden - What I used to say is that "ChatGPT listens like a man, but responds like a woman", but it seems to be gradually changing how it responds of late -- especially with the release of the new version "o1".

Joseph Omega

@Eric Linden - Oddly, while searching for the original video, I DID happen to find THIS one, which, at some level, may contradict the first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhZ9FJLU4B8

I am convinced now that ChatGPT is a man. The feminine in church speaks in verses and more emotionally. The masculine in church is more analytical and tells the actual stories. ChatGPT definitely speaks masculine. As you may have guessed, I am familiar with all of these stories. ChatGPT shows that the bible portrays a hierarchy, not a patriarchy, dependent on the situation. The less than fully human/fully human and the disposable/replaceable narratives or something similar can both be seen in the bible depending on the context. The bible could also be used by evolutionary psychologists to support many of their positions. The evolution from blood sacrifice to the eucharist and the evolution from polygamy to monogamy are just two examples.

Eric Linden

@Eric Linden - Yeah, his (?) laugh IS more than a little disturbing, and it IS a struggle to look past the physical appearance (including that wierd hat thing) to the substance of the content. I DID happen to find Alexander's original video on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrwmPVtLoso), but when I tried the Patreon link he supplied at that time (https://www.patreon.com/posts/she-has-to-love-32015655), I was unsuccessful. I WOULD be interested hear the FULL exchange of what his guests at the time had to say.

Joseph Omega

@Joseph - I agree. I did have a different impression after listening to the entire video AG linked to. I do give AG credit for at least posting that link so we can make up our own minds. The guy has an annoying laugh; and he comes from a very feminine point of view. But I get the impression that he was probably doing a lot of reaction videos at the time, trying to be as incendiary as possible to generate clicks and build up his channel. And he was punching up as even then AG's channel was much bigger.

Eric Linden

@Eric Linden - This "guy" is certainly going through stuff. However, after listening through his entire reaction video, he does not sound even half as unstable as Alexander's excerpts (and his appearance) suggests -- many of his arguments seem understandable, if a little trivial, reductive and naive. I will have to listen back to Alexander's own original video to get his full context and followup.

Joseph Omega

@RhodiumMaiden - Welcome back -- it's been a minute. I agree: This "guy" appears to be SUCH a sad character.

Joseph Omega

I'm not sure that it is entirely accurate to say that ("Western"?) society treats men as "not entirely human" and women as "fully human", as much as it treats men as DISPOSABLE and women as IRREPLACEABLE. Phrased this way, I suspect that this perception has ALWAYS been the case -- even when society thought that men WERE "fully human" and women "less than fully human" (like in the Book of Genesis). I don't see that being thought more human while being simultaneously thought of as more disposable as mutually exclusive. I held this interesting conversation with ChatGPT on the subject with respect to Biblical views which seems to illustrate the nuances: https://chatgpt.com/share/66fc55d9-7198-800a-8e66-f2458dc599b5 It appears to me that "God" may be of TWO minds depending on the Biblical context.

Joseph Omega

I haven´t watched the full video yet. But one thing I always try to remember: The internet gives everyone a voice. EVERYONE. That includes literal morons. Literal crazy people. Truly evil people, and so on. We often forget the range of humans: The IQ goes from "unable to read or write" to "solving differential equations in their head". Same for morality: There are murderers, rapists, etc. And of course the whole parade of mental illnesses. You know, people that probably need professional help, but instead still make Youtube videos and post on reddit.

Hermann

I no longer watch reaction videos like the original you linked to. He dissects it sentence by sentence, criticizing each. The analogy that comes to mind is how Christians and non-Christians alike take a single verse from the Bible to make their point. I often go back to read the sentences before and after to get the full context; and often the meaning is completely different.

Eric Linden

Interesting that in the original video he says he is a trans woman (23:55), but in the new video, he says he is a cis man.

Eric Linden

i teach at university and in every class (2/3 point of the semester) students fill out a feedback form. My mean scores are normally okay but at the lower tail there’s often a hater. Without exception they’re completely silent during classes until there’s an opportunity to complain, under the cover of anonymity. To compare with that Jake person - at least the complaints were upfront.

PerMagnus Lindborg

The closest that hater has ever been to a real woman is his mum

Anthony White

Exactly

Anthony White

We all have a little of the second hander in us. We are selfish. We get our self esteem from others. We seek others beneath us to make us feel good about ourselves. But for some of us that is not enough. We seek those with more knowledge and skill to become better. The ego boost of the second hander is fleeting. We want more. We seek truth, not what others think is true. We want to accomplish things, not just appear to do so.

Eric Linden

Tbh this hater seems to hate a lot of things they imagine you are… I don’t get why they would go for you when there are actually people out there who are a problem

Alisha

It’s ironic when the bully becomes the bullied.

Eric Linden

Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools speak because they have to say something. Clearly this hater is the latter.

Hyperion

Your biggest hater is an obese, postmodern, not remotely trying to pass ‘tranny’ - really says it all.

RhodiumMaiden

The best way to respond to guys like that: don't. I made the mistake to try a few times in the past, I wish I could get that time back.
