Affordable Therapy: $65 for 1 hour sessions (SPECIAL DEAL)

I know a lot of people would like to book 1 on 1 sessions with me but they find my price ($300 an hour) prohibitive, which I understand. I’m expensive. Running the YouTube channel, the Heroes Circle and raising a daughter has meant my time is at a premium.

I have some good news though. My partner Emily, who I’ve been in a relationship with for 15 years, has just finished her Masters of Psychology, the result of 7 years of study. She is now a provisionally registered Psychologist in Australia.

To achieve full registration, she has to complete 1500 hours of clinical practice, including 500 hours of direct client contact hours.

I know some men may feel reluctant to see a female therapist but as you can imagine, as my partner, Emily is thoroughly familiar with my content and is much better suited than the average women to understand the unique difficulties that come with being a man. If your girlfriend/wife has been seeking therapy, this can also be an option for her.

So if there is any man or woman out there who has been seeking affordable therapy, you can book a session with Emily for just $65 here: https://calendly.com/emilyfaygrace/

But wait, there must be a catch? Well, yes there is.

One of the requirements to achieve full registration in Australia is for Emily’s therapy supervisor to observe her conducting sessions. As such, the reason I am advertising this here is because Emily needs to conduct sessions over zoom and record them so they can be discussed in her supervision. All recordings will be securely stored on a password protected computer, recordings will only ever be viewed by Emily and her supervisor and recordings will be deleted once reviewed.

This is why the sessions are being offered at an affordable price. Spots are limited so if you’re interested, please book a session with Emily today.

@RhodiumMaiden - I see you have discovered @E C's goodbye thread.

Joseph Omega

@EL & JO I had a max level account for several months and I did not have access to anything above the $7 a month category.

RhodiumMaiden

@JO - That was one of her good ones.

Eric Linden

@Eric Linden - Well, if it ever picks up, let me know. And who knows, you may become the next (male) Kiera Lhotan (now at over 70k!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD0tH6EIKzk Ditziness rules! ðŸ‘

Joseph Omega

Small. Haha. It's just there. Not a serious endeavor. Maybe I'll do something with it someday. Just a few home videos. A few people message me there. There's a group chat that nobody chats on so far. https://www.patreon.com/EricLinden

Eric Linden

@Eric Linden - How large (or active) is your own Patreon membership?

Joseph Omega

@JO - No. Alas I am also in the $7/month tier.

Eric Linden

@Eric thanks for the clarification.

E C

@Eric Linden - Ah. I see. Alas, I'm in the lowest (non-free) tier. I'm guessing some of the higher ones are probably for the "Heroes Circle" members, but I did not know there were so many other different ones: https://www.patreon.com/alexandergrace/membership Do you know what constitutes "More Generosity"?

Joseph Omega

@JO - btw, AG also has a $10, a $25, a $49, and a $98 tier. He may have some secret stuff we can’t see because we don’t pay the higher amount. Of course, I don’t know if you are one of those paying $98.

Eric Linden

@Joseph - The creator, AG, makes certain videos free, and certain ones for each paid tier. This video is free. The other you linked to must be only available to those who pay for the $7/month tier.

Eric Linden

@E C - Interesting. So you're in some sort of wind-down mode of your ORIGINAL account?

Joseph Omega

@JO I would have to pay, at least for a month.

E C

@E C - I only joined a year ago, yet I have access to ALL videos (and their comments) going back many years. You have to EXPLICITLY search or browse for them OUTSIDE of just the ones immediately recommended to you by the system. For this particular video and its threads: https://www.patreon.com/posts/113200378

Joseph Omega

@JO When you delete an account, Patreon cancels membership as well. I only have access to 2 videos. My subscription was supposed to end Nov.1 st.

E C

@Eric Linden I will do that. Thanks 🙂ðŸ™

E C

@EC - If you want to message me in the next year, I have a Patreon. It’s very searchable.

Eric Linden

@E C - I fail to understand the relevance and reference to "religious people". Even though you have effectively deleted ALL your old posts, it MAY help to revisit the last thread where you were last seen -- it may help trigger the memory of your attempt at humor more accurately. We were last discussing Courtesans and Troubadours, and your rather shallow and demeaning views of their skills and intellect. Rather than continue here, we can pick up again THERE, assuming you indeed still wish to have a serious discussion on the subject.

Joseph Omega

@JO Fair enough I will think about that. Some people are religious okay. Goodnight. Bye.

E C

@E C - Your next to last comment before account deletion claimed you were "only joking". Were we not speaking about "serious stuff"?

Joseph Omega

Emily is very proficient. Had already couple of sessions and can recommend. I struggle with a lot in my life and she creates an open space to share. It'll be a long uphill battle but the fact that she is married with Alexander really gives me confidence that she's the right fit. I never thought I'd go for a female therapist but well... The couple of sessions I had really already helped me a lot. I feel way better just being able to share my story without shame.

Can I have my partner join as well for relationship counseling? Or is it one on one only? We have a long distance relationship so it requires two zooms.

Brian

Yes, this is being offered for people who are seeking ongoing treatment

Alexander Grace

Is it guaranteed to be only a single session? Or after a session, can we book more if we want?

voskresenie

Again this App sucks as when this was announced my latest video at year 2021 got lost so have to scroll all way back again.

Originally training as a primary school teacher, Emily came to study psychology later in life, after discovering its benefits for herself in healing her own trauma. Emily has always been fascinated by people and awed at the innate drive people have which compels them toward seeking to heal. Emily believes that the relationships we have in our lives, reveal a lot about ourselves. The way we relate to people can be impacted by many factors, including our childhood history, significant life events, attachment style, personality, temperament, communication patterns, and core beliefs about ourselves and the world. Exploring how these factors are impacting our current relationships, is the work to be explored for individuals in treatment. When we have experienced wounding in our past relationships, healing these experiences must also occur in relationships. The relational dynamics in a therapeutic relationship, offers a safe place for this relational exploration and healing to occur. Emily has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Emily is also currently training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy specifically for eating disorders (CBT-E). Emily has a specific interest in trauma work, and enjoys working with PTSD and complex trauma, as well as presentations involving comorbid mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety. Emily also has an interest in the treatment of eating disorders, her Masters research examined the symbolism and metacommunication in eating disordered behaviours in individuals with Anorexia Nervosa. Emily believes in a holistic approach to the treatment of all mental health conditions - recognising clients’ resourcefulness and listening to what their behaviours are communicating about their greater needs and challenges. Emily works relationally, using a client centred approach, prioritising the therapeutic relationship as the primary avenue for effective treatment.

Could you give us more information about her areas of expertise within Psychology and in delivering talk therapy? Just to assess if the problems and issues we'd like to discuss align with those.

Ashwin Srinivas

Congratulations on your degree Emily!

Jennifer Coopman

Sounds like a great offer! I personally don't mind the other inconveniences that you have mentioned

Very cool. BUT, might I suggest a far more private electronic connection platform. Zoom is not trust-worthy for privacy. They can claim all they want, but they have been found to do all sorts of shady things in the past, and almost certainly still are. Weak encryption, too. And they have evil major stakeholders like Blackrock and Vanguard. Open-source options exist, like Jitsi. https://alternativeto.net/software/zoom-cloud-meetings/
