I love being a Dad now but having an 18 year old living at home with us when I'm 76 really doesn't appeal to me. With the way kids stay at home longer than ever now there's a chance they'd never move out before I die. I do want my freedom.

Also, your Colombian gf, I was thinking she would need to be not interested in having children for you guys to work out unless you have the energy for being a dad at 57. Do you have any kids from a previous relationship since your 63yo gf has been only been 11 years?

2024-04-05 00:39:02 +0000 UTCNot offended, I'm getting used to it. We've found generally everyone we've told has been uncomfortable with it, except for the 3 of us. I'm 10 years older than her mother so that hasn't exactly gone over well. What's in it for her? You nailed it, I'm the greatest guy ever! But seriously, we met when I traveled to Colombia after breaking up with Ms 63. We've since resumed as FWB and everyone is clear on what's going on. There is definitely a support component to it. Not exactly sugar-daddy, nothing to that level, but I think most Colombians are a fair bit poorer than us, so it's no secret she wants assistance. She is traditional but says she doesn't want kids. She doesn't want to permanently leave Colombia. I do provide her with a way to live outside Colombia in either Canada or the US for half the year. So yes I've certainly asked myself the same question, why me? I've had my suspicions but so far so good. All I can say is in Colombia it's not uncommon for younger girls to get together with gringos, though probably usually a bit younger than me. I'll have to ask her again tonight wth she sees in an old gringo like me. 🙂

Even if you are the greatest guy ever it just seems a bit odd, does she want children? Are you going to have children with her? How did you meet?

2024-04-04 01:43:02 +0000 UTCIf you're interested in the perspective of someone who finds himself in a very unconventional lifestyle count me in. Two girlfriends, one in Canada, one in Colombia. Canadian is 63, Colombian is 23, I am 57. Both women know I am doing this and surprisingly are fine with it. I travel back and forth and thus far no snags. I'm having the time of my life with two women I love who are very different. Let me know if my presence would add value to a group. It's amazing this works. For how long who knows? I've been with Ms 63 for 11 years and Ms 23 for 5 months. EDT timezone here. Cheers.
