Swapmini 63 -  Lupin Grimclaw - werewolf/ wolf-folk

Born under the rare conjunction of two moons, Lupin Grimclaw was destined for an extraordinary life. His parents, part of the ancient and secluded tribe of the Silvertail wolf folk, recognized the signs and the peculiar markings on his body at birth. From an early age, Lupin displayed an affinity for both his humanoid and wolf forms that far surpassed his peers, embodying the spirit of the wolf in every sense.

The Silvertail tribe, hidden deep within the old-growth forests of the Ironwood, lived peacefully, keeping their balance with nature and the human settlements nearby. Lupin, being a quick learner and naturally agile, swiftly rose through the ranks of the tribe's hunters. His relentless determination, strategic mind, and feral prowess were traits admired by all.

One day, while Lupin was on a solo hunting trip, he was ambushed by a strange creature, a rogue werewolf, consumed by its feral side and trapped between forms. They fought fiercely, but the beast was ferocious and unyielding. Lupin managed to wound it severely, but not before it had inflicted a deep, cursed gash upon him. Lupin slayed the beast, but the damage had been done; he had been cursed with the chaotic and uncontrollable power of a true werewolf.

As days turned into weeks, the full effect of the curse took hold. On nights when the moon was full, Lupin would lose control, becoming a creature of pure instinct, unbound by reason or morality. It brought him immense pain and guilt, especially when he realized he was a danger to his own tribe. So, he chose exile, leaving his people to keep them safe from his uncontrollable transformations.

Lupin now wanders, seeking a cure for his curse. He has managed to gain some semblance of control over his transformations, using the discipline taught by his tribe, but he is always on guard against his own inner beast. As he travels, he fights against the evils of the world, hoping to prevent others from suffering the same fate he has. Lupin Grimclaw, once a proud hunter of the Silvertail tribe, is now a wanderer and a protector, forever locked in a battle against the beast within.
