Once, Vardor was a respected scholar, celebrated in the kingdom of Eryndor for his knowledge of ancient history and the arcane arts. This wasn't out of malice or a desire for power, but from a naive and misguided belief that he could conquer death and bring about an age of immortality.

His former humanity is all but lost, replaced by a being consumed with bitterness, anger, and an unending thirst for power over life and death.
