An announcement on upcoming plans
Added 2017-12-11 19:58:37 +0000 UTCHey everyone, it's that time of year. Can you believe it's been over a year since THwN started? I'd like to take a moment to speak about my plans for the Game and this Patreon.
I've been dragging my feet on putting out public updates lately because, real life aside, the structure of the game and it's future content is starting to shift. As I'm approaching the end little by little (I have but a few new left locations to go), updates will be focused more on overlapping adds and overhauling existing locations, as well as going back to add more features and update the game non-linearly.
I've noticed that Patreon recently overhauled it's payment system, as some of you might've seen. A new service fee charge for patrons adds 2.9% of your backing to every charge, and as someone whose patreon works on a "per update" basis and usually posts end of month, I'm sure some might be concerned how this will effect payments come end of the month. Adding to the uncertainty is my scheduling usually working on the game in spurts, and posting up what I've finished come monthly turnover. That's why I believe it's time to change that.
In order to offset said charge and adapt to the changing content, I'm going to be bunching updated content in throughout-month 'clusters', starting this week, and in bunches next week. Every update will have multiple tweaks and adds which I'll detail when they come, giving the game some more replay-ability with everything added and adjusted, including:
-Expansions to towns and locations, sometimes outright revamps to some maps I feel were extremely lacking
-New npcs, lore, items and purchases
-A brand new quest system and multiple quests
-An influx of new Purity Points via more corruption to fix and characters to save, and with it more Purity purchases and goodies
-Extensions to existing Bad Ends and sorta tweaking ones that are too short or got the quick-stick
-As well as new dungeons and intensifying content in existing dungeons
-And more!
All of these will be added continually in said clusters as I go through it to make the game even better, more expansive and more fun.
Slipped inbetween there, I'll chronicle any new highlights and progress on upcoming areas as well. Right now the plan for said areas are; Halloween Halls, Haunted Asylum/Hospital, and Sea Wreckage, as well as the long alluded to Tower of Heroes. Bit by bit, during all that - I'll also be inching towards the endgame for THwN and putting the shape of it's real story and conclusion forward. It's a little bit more hectic to keep track of that way rather than one end-of-month dump with clear packaged areas and larger pushes, but I think it's for the best that way.
I plan on continuing on with the game this week. In the coming days expect new updates and kinky adventures on the way!
