August Update (postcards, merch, website(!!!))

Hope your Summer's been good to you all so far! I'm making this post to update you all regarding the progress on tasks listed previously on the June Update post.

I come with good news - since finishing my Spring freelance work and taking care of most of my commission queue, I've been able to get back to Mothorial! All the Spring postcards have now been ordered, and they should be printed and sent on August 3rd, as listed in the service's estimated times. Considering the current issues USPS is dealing with, I'm expecting there will be delays in delivery of at least 1 to 2 weeks for US recipients, and 2 weeks to a month for non-US recipients. I'll be sure to notify when mine arrives for those in Europe, and I'd really appreciate those in the US to do the same so others can rest assured theirs will arrive safely soon after!

Regardless of when your postcards arrive, feel free to post on Twitter under the hashtags #Mothorial and #MothorialGoodies to spread the word! A lot of changes will be happening this Summer, and with the public launch coming soon after (we're hoping), any bit of sharing helps us tons!

So far, things have been looking up and up on the COVID-19 lockdown and social isolation rules, but I'm still being extra careful and staying home, taking care of late [in my own measure] work. Consequently, I haven't been able to head out to visit printing and merchandise shops for quotes and sample prints for future items.

However, I'm more worried about catching up to current expectations, so I'll be shooting for preparing goodie bags with the promised welcoming postcards (for Founders and Ava [$10+] tier members), plus any small merch I can prepare for the occasion, for the website launch date sometime in Autumn, or at least before the end of 2020. All merch made will be available for purchase to everyone from that point forward.

Also related to my art output - since I've recently been able to clear my to-do lists, I've slowly come back to create comic pages and other Mothorial assets! We're very close to coming off of the Beta production phase for the public website, and we can't wait to share it with you all.

We've reached the 50k word count for Mothorial comic scripts! It's an impressive achievement by any measure, for sure - thing is, the scripts are looking very bloated in terms of comic page count, and if we used the same measurements to all volumes beyond, by our calculations, it would increase our release times by -years-. We're currently working on slimming everything down, but rest assured we're keeping quality in mind, and once again, the current volume won't be affected. This will only help us keep all the volumes fresh and well-kept, and we're not drawing the later ones for a good while, so we're not worried in terms of delays at the moment!
