I think it's so cool how they do that, nature is extremely clever! Oh wow that's pretty interesting! Blows my mind to be honest, it's the little things in life that are the most amazing

Flowers have all sorts of methods for signaling pollinators if they need pollen, and whether they have any nectar to offer today. Many flowers use color changes that are too subtle for us to notice, but are more obvious to bees. Some flowers display a wider range of colors than we can see. Bees might know if a flower is ready for a visit today, or if it has already been visited by another bee, by observing the flower's color in the ultraviolet range. The color change takes place in a range of light undetectable to us, but easily spotted by a passing bee. In a similar fashion, some birds that appear black to us are actually quite lovely in frequencies of light beyond what we can see. Starlings photographed using ultraviolet sensitive cameras appear brightly colored in various shades of violet.
