The token system is kept on a personal spreadsheet on my computer, so as long as I receive the money in some way, nothing changes. Patreon just make it easier to keep track of people and their donation, since some members come and go, but there are archives of every month's patrons. I'm still going to post every month in relation to what content is planned and when the commission queue open, that's just text so nobody gets offended :P

I have mostly subbed at the $10+ tier for the tokens. Would that get removed if you switch over to the tip jar based system? Also, in regards to Patreon, how about only posting the safe stuff on here, but the not allowed stuff on your other site. Then flag them with spoilers so that people don’t accidentally spoil themselves and know to wait until the normal stuff catches up. As long as you don’t advertise your other site on Patreon, I don’t see them being able to do anything to you. You aren’t “making money” off of the stuff that you aren’t making accessible on the platform.

I do not know, but that,s what we're gonna test. I know at least that worst come to worst, patreon can complain but has no direct control of what happens on discord. It might become my main platform until I have my own website or something.

well since i'm only on the $1 teir it would not matter where you uploaded new comics as long as i was notified via e-mail so if the new place has that feature great. otherwise an update here to let me know when a new comic comes out would be very much appreciated.

Nah bots take care of that fairly properly it seems, I check the audit log and they keep tier permissions up to date.

I mean its hard to say really, Discord you would have to keep track of literally everyone at that point so thats not an option.

One was flagged for beastiality, the other for "Sexual violence" which happened before in the comic and will happen again because it's a war between two species, not a tea party.

What is It patreon doesnt like exactly? If it only two posts could it be they are flagging for beastiality? If that the case post this section of the comic on your site but the bulk of the rest here.

I must add, there's not probably much to do about any US payment platforms, as they're now being scared (maybe rightly so) by the infamous SESTA/FOSTA and don't want risking highly dangerous legal consequences. I believe that only a non-US platform might take the risk of accepting adult content right now.

My entire patreon is already not visible to public, and the content that required removal was already on the 5$ tier, so I don't think they care about that, they just don't want it.

Question: Is Patreon indicating that you cannot post these images 'Regardless' of tier level? i.e. Would using the tier system allow you uninhibited display, as long as it is not visible the the general public?

There might be a solution, in discord you can post picture, also you can assign usergroups to people and you can make channels that only a certain usergroup can acces.

I find the progressive ban of adult art on many online platform worrying at best. Be it for economic reasons, or to appease feminazis, or for outright bigotry, this is an undue limitation on freedom of speech and art that is spreading throughout many big providers of internet services. I had hoped that your Sponsorion project could offer an alternative to the double-faced platform that is Patreon, but it seems that it won't, at least for the moment. I can just second Perniciousducks' suggestion, maybe completing it with the use of an encrypted folder on Mega like many people are doing to share content without external parties being able to check: only patrons would be able to access your folders, you could host different tier content on different folders. Essentially a Google Drive that only selected people can visit. Maybe a less-than-optimal solution, but a temporary one while waiting for some, better, platform.

Just going to say, if this page turns into a tip jar with tiers offering tokens and all content becomes instantly available to everyone I will keep my pledge. I understand it isn't much, but I am supporting the content, not my bonus access to that content. However, if a tiered system is desired to be kept, a 3rd party file hosting of password locked or encrypted files upon which the keys to unlocking them are messages posted in the tiered reward updates, then that should get around without directly linking forbidden content here. Others have mentioned it though. My only request is that fvt doesn't go onto hiatus due to the website's idiocy.

This isn’t bad, though you lose the tier aspect if you don’t keep them in new folders constantly. You could also just password lock a zip file and post it and just email passwords. I don’t know that Patreon would do anything about that

Have you tried other subscription services? SubscribeStar and Sponsus might be a better fit. IIRC Subscribestar openly accepts adult material.

Hm Really bad news. As one of the options I see a link to a resource that will give a link to a resource on which there will be a comic. On the Persians resource, which is a link from Patreona, you can publish their work is not related to the comic. Or just something that interests you and links to it. You can also post a censorship version and, again, give a link to the resource on which there will be a link to the resource. In theory, this is done according to the rules of Patreon. Of the more complicated, this is mailing to mailboxes, which will be indicated to you in personal messages. There are options, just a question in the degree of complexity. ;))
