August 2018 Summary

Hi everyone! So as I mentioned a couple days ago, Patreon has payment processing issues right now. This is due to them moving part of their financial systems to the UK, here's a snippet of the email I received:

 

To give you more info, we’ve started working with multiple payment processors to be able to continue successfully processing adult content creators. As a result, we moved the processing for adult creators to the UK. Unfortunately, this means some of your patrons may see a 3% international processing fee for their pledge. This is determined by their bank, not by Patreon, and every bank treats these things differently which makes it hard for us to assess who will be affected.

Here’s some information to share with your patrons in case an issue arises.

If your patrons are having any trouble, here’s what they can do:

1. If their bank suspects that the Patreon payment is fraudulent, a patron can call up their bank to confirm the payment is theirs and genuine.
2. If their payment failed, they can follow these steps or switch to a different payment method.
3. If they are seeing an international processing fee, they can switch their pledge to a different bank that doesn’t charge for international payments.
4. They can reach out to the Patreon support team to get account specific help.
   

So far I only got a dozen or so people left who are still being declined, which is pretty good all things considered, so thank you all for keeping an eye on that, hopefully this won't be an issue for next month. 

Now, since I changed a few things around here, I know present you with a new segment, the TODO LIST, this represent what I aim to draw this month. This is a small, reasonable list, and hopefully I can do more than that.

Here we go. So as I said, I consider this a bare minimum, hopefully I'll be able to do more, but to be honest, Real Life has been keeping me busy this last week, so we'll see how things go.  At least the summer's heat waves are over!

Now, The Commission Queue (10$+)

So a lot of people on the top tier were eager to get commissioning, so the queue almost filled up instantly. To remedy this initial burst, I decided to add more slots, to a total of 13. First come first served, 1 slot per person, and if you don't make it to the queue, well don't worry you're still accumulating token for when it opens! You can comment below, or message me here or on discord, I plan to use the timestamps to determine the order if I miss the messages, but the moment you jump on that queue, your commission is guaranteed, because you technically already paid for it! If you're not sure how much tokens your commission would  cost, don't forget to check the commission price sheet!

I aim to do more than a single commission per month in the future, but I'm still recovering from my summer disaster (getting a new tablet) and clearing up commissions that existed before this list was created. I believe on a good month I should be able to do 2 to 4, depending on their complexity. Regarding the other higher tier reward, the content suggestion, I'll make a dedicated post for that later.
