Last month was the first attempt at the new setup for 2021, and it was cool to see so much engagement. As you may recall, Bonnie won by a landslide, with nobody else really coming close. I considered that a successful run of the new voting system, but this time it was a little different.
Without further ado, the winner of last month’s poll was - The RPG continuation!
Our runner-up was Sam on the alpha path, which brings me to the difference between this vote and the previous one. It was actually pretty close this time, and the voting power really came into play. The difference between the RPG and Sam was less than five votes in the end, and there was plenty of voting power on both sides. A hard fought battle, which is what makes this vote much more telling about the efficacy of the new voting system. From what I observed, basically, the bulk of the votes elect the strongest candidates in the running, and the voting power is just enough to tip the scales and crown a winner. I think that’s really great, and this vote serves as a much better yardstick than the last. Who knows though? Maybe you’ll surprise me again this time - Let’s find out! :)
