What's coming for Christmas?
Added 2019-10-20 13:03:38 +0000 UTCThe reception for the recent update was incredible, with player retention seeing a much larger increase than usual! It's great to see that a lot of players enjoy the new and overhauled content. :)
This update has also seen a lot more hotfixes than usual. This is mainly in preparation for the next update. I have been pushing cleaning up the project, and it shows in the form of bugs and errors.
The next update will feature an overhaul to encounters and how players are connected with one another. This overhaul will allow more players to be connected at the same time, and introduce a number of quality of life benefits, such as being able to invite others to your room and request meet-ups. The same system will also be used to make notifications for messages and friend requests, improving socializing through the game.
The overhaul will also fix a long standing issue with the turn timer sometimes not updating, as it turns out it was caused by a connection error.
The next update is also planned to introduce a few mind alteration spells to the game, such as the first obsession spells and a spell for changing the name of characters! And lastly, I plan on adding the first seasonal event to the game; a Christmas event that will take place during December either in real life or in-game!
