All-mother. Origins.

Seth traveled with Maya and Isabel to Noth, restoring Olivia’s vitality before returning to Endora.

After appearing on the balcony of the Imperial Palace, Isabel looked over the expansive city ahead and asked in puzzlement: “Why did you make your home a lot smaller than the rest of the city?”

“Let’s just say we haven’t had the time to upgrade yet.” Seth chuckled before his smile disappeared, and he asked in concern: “How are you feeling, Isabel?”

Isabel supported her elbows on the railing and sighed as a small orb hovered before her. “Don’t worry. I will be fine for a few more thousand years, but what will happen after that… even I don’t know. Yggdrasil has absorbed my essence for eons and will not stop anytime soon. Now that Death has gone mad and is also leeching on it….”

Seth sighed, moving behind Isabel and hugging her from behind. “I’ll figure out a way for you to live as well.”

Isabel lifted her hand, caressing Seth’s head on her shoulder, and shook her head: “The old will be replaced by the new. Our time is over, Seth.”

“You’re the only one to have given up. If the others are still trying, there must still be hope.” said Seth. “Can you tell me the truth? Lust had always been beating around the subject whenever I asked. Maybe there’s something I can do to help….”

Isabel looked up at Seth before turning to face the city again and remaining silent. Seth also didn’t say anything more, waiting for Isabel to decide for herself.

In the meantime, Maya also joined the two, sitting by Isabel’s side and staring at her.

“A wife must always support her husband. I don’t know the full story, but even if you have given up, you must support Seth if he still wants to try, or you might as well return to that hell where he saved you from.”

After staring for a moment into Maya’s eyes, Isabel sighed and muttered while turning to look at Seth: “I guess this moment is as good as any… I’ll tell you.”

Seth nodded and turned to look at Maya: “Let’s gather everyone. This is something that everyone must know.”

Maya gathered the rest of Seth’s wives and lovers while Seth had Caitlin exit his body. Half an hour later, a large gathering had formed in the living room of the Imperial Chambers.

Most girls had no idea why Seth had called everyone there, but everyone came nonetheless. Seth and Isabel were the last to arrive.

“You’ve been busy.” Said Isabel, but Seth just shrugged, and a strand of destruction started spreading all around the gathering, guarding them against any prying ears, as he walked to sit between Hollie and Maya.

Noticing everyone’s eyes on her, Isabel bowed respectfully while turning with her head lowered toward everyone around her.

“A pleasure to meet you. My name is Isabel, or better to say, that’s the name this form of mine received long ago.”

“I’m sure everyone is curious about why Seth had asked you to gather here, so I will try not to waste too much of your time.”

“As you all know, this world you call home is a simulation created by a being whose power has reached incomprehensible levels.” Isabel directed her eyes to Seth as a warning before continuing.

“But you all might not know that this simulation is also a prison. To clearly explain that, I’ll have to tell you a bit about the world outside.”

“A singular entity once occupied the whole outside world, an entity later referred to as the All-mother. A lonely being of absolute power in the world, drifting aimlessly through the void sea.”

“There were no other beings, planets, or anything else since they did not need to exist. She was all and everything, all-encompassing and absolute.”

“All of that ended with a hole appearing in the void barrier, a natural barrier formed at the edge of her world. A new entity entered her world through that hole, breaking the endless silence the All-mother had always known.”

“The new entity had found the will of the world, the All-mother, and started telling her about the world outside the barrier.”

“The new being’s words grew something inside the All-mother that never existed before, desire. A strong desire for her world to have all those things the entity mentioned as well.”

“Her will gave her desire form. Space and time were created first. Soon, space was filled with planets, stars, and even life. The more the two spoke, the larger All-mother’s world became.”

“Her power flowed endlessly through the universe, creating life and worlds with no end, but she didn’t understand all that also slowly weakened her.”

“She was ripping parts of herself to create everything the entity was telling her about.”

“When her power reached the same level as the outside entity, the entity professed its love for the All-mother and convinced her to give herself a form.”

“Witnessing her creations experience love, she desired the same thing and gave herself a physical form, accepting the entity’s feelings and words despite not knowing what they truly meant. The two’s love gave birth to seeds. Those seeds bloomed into a new race of eleven powerful celestial beings.”

“They had complete dominion over different elements. They were Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Light, Darkness, Creation, Destruction, Time, Space, and Chaos.”

“The All-mother loved her children, but she didn’t know those children were still her creation, born out of her desire to have a child of her own, but the twelfth seed was different.”

“It was a true seed born out of their union, possessing a trace of the All-mother’s power and the other being’s. A seed with the potential to grow stronger than both of them.”

“When their union gave birth to that seed, the outside entity showed its true colors. Using that seed’s essence as fuel, the entity broke the barrier between The Outside and All-mother’s universe.”

“Strange silvery beings, known as voidlings, started flooding her world, consuming all the life she had created, while her children began fighting the strange beings to no success.”

“The All-mother finally experienced feelings she never wanted to. Pain, grief, betrayal, rage... She understood the being she had loved with all she was had never loved her back and only used her.”

“Her rage burst, and she used her own essence to seal her world from The Outside, repairing and strengthening the void barrier around it. It was too late when the outside entity noticed what she was doing.”

“Despite wanting nothing more than to kill her, the entity knew that was impossible, so it broke her mind and body into millions of pieces he scattered throughout the universe, even locking some of those pieces into prisons made out of the same type of void barrier covering the universe.”

Isabel wiped her tears away as she said: “And that’s how the simulations came to be. The pieces of the All-mother inside these barriers gave birth to smaller universes, which the entity started regulating in hopes of the All-mother birthing a being capable of breaking the void barrier he placed outside those simulations.”

“If a being like that came into existence, it meant that it had the potential to free himself from the prison the All-mother had locked him into and return to his home, The Outside.”

“The energies you all cultivate come from the All-mother’s children. After calling himself the World Sovereign, the entity broke her children’s wills just as it broke their mother.”

“Her seeds now travel the worlds in search of hosts able to fill the missing parts of their wills, giving birth to what you call ascended. When enough energy is gathered to form a conscious will, it will seek to fuse with the rest of it in the world, forming a divinity.”

“Unfortunately, due to the endless simulations being separated, even if they gain control of all the energy, it will never be complete again.”

Seeing that Isabel fell silent, Hollie asked: “What about the other energies?”

Isabel’s eyes snapped back into focus, and she nodded: “The other energies are formed from the body and mind of the All-mother. Or what was left of it.”

“Life and Death are the energies forming her body….” Isabel paused, looked at Seth, and said, “You should already have the two energies formed out of her mind.”

“Her mind and body acted differently than her other children. They sought to create more beings in the hope of carrying the All-mother’s will to one day remove the World Sovereign from his throne of power and eliminate the threat he poses to her world.”

“When the entity known as Yggdrasil, in her insatiable hunger, broke the spirit well link to this simulation, the control the World Sovereign had over the spirit well weakened, and we were able to regain sentience.”

“Just like the rest, I am just a simple will that was once part of the All-mother, formed out of the life part of her body. The treasure of life was never a treasure but a physical manifestation of my consciousness.”

“The same thing happened with Death, who gained consciousness and absorbed my power in the hope of coming closer to becoming a whole again… Unfortunately, that is nothing more than a pipe dream.”

“Lust and perception, as Seth called them, remained true to their purpose, to create more beings that might rise against the World Sovereign. That was until Seth unknowingly gave them a consciousness as well. I don’t know what they strive for now.”

“The anger, resentment, and other emotions the All-mother felt when the World Sovereign betrayed her had given birth to what you know as horrors.”

“The All-mother’s love, dreams, and hope gave birth to the conscious treasures spread throughout the continent. Since they are also formed out of emotions, they can slay the horrors.”

“That’s the history of our world, or at least, all that I can remember….”

While Isabel lowered her head with a sigh, Seth’s eyes flashed a bright pink, and he said coldly, “Mother will be disgusted by you. She sacrificed herself for a chance to kill that invader, and you want to give up?”

Isabel lifted her head and smiled despite Lust’s words, shaking her head: “Sister, it’s not that I gave up, but I know that even if Seth grows strong enough and wins, we’re still dead. We’ve been dead for a long time, and there’s no hope for us to live anymore. Is it that wrong for me to want to enjoy what’s left of my existence?”

“You and that stupid Death.” Said Lust, waving her hand as Katy’s body appeared in the center of the room. “No hope? Look again.”

Isabel looked at the pink cocoon surrounding Katy’s body, and her eyes shook in their sockets as she muttered in disbelief: “A seed?”

“Yes.” Replied Lust, her eyes flashing with resolve. “It’s still week, but I know that in the end, it’s possible. The All-mother can be reborn, and once She does, we can continue living on.”
