The fairies were designed by the contest winner, sevenna, but the reproduction cycle's concept is legit and canon to the story, hope you like it! This is a stuffy picture, it'll probably take me the rest of the month to do lol. For fairness to all readers, the reproduction cycle of the fairies will be talked about in the comic itself, as I don't like to leave unanswered questions, but I don't know when, maybe months or years from now, so there ya go!
